Q: Hi there, Our current eCommerce site was built with Oxygen Builder + WooCommerce + FunnelKit, plus some ...

Oxygen-related plugins like Hydrogen, OxyNinja, etc. We're considering simplifying everything by removing Oxygen & related plugins entirely and using a Woo-friendly theme like Woodmart to redesign the whole site.

Compared to installing a clean WordPress on a staging site and migrating everything (products, customers, funnel & marketing settings, etc) to it, is it possible to use WP Reset to remove just the Oxygen and related plugins, and then install Woodmart to make everything back to work?

I doubt it but if WP Reset can magically work like this, please let me know. It will save us a huge amount of time on the migration.

A: Hi,
WP Reset comes with the Delete Plugins tool, but it works on all plugins - it is not possible to choose which ones to delete/keep.

What you could do is delete all plugins via the tool, then create a Collection of plugins, which you can then install with one click. But please note that in this case, where you delete all plugins, you will also lose any settings you might have stored in those plugins, and when you install them back via the Collection, they will appear as newly installed (like you never used them before).

In your case, WP Reset would be more helpful in case of storing snapshots while you're trying new themes and plugins so you can quickly revert changes on the staging server. For example, you create a snapshot, then remove Oxygen and related plugins, install a new one, and try it. If you do not like what you've done, you could then restore to a previous state in a couple of seconds with WP Reset (instead of manually removing one by one, changing settings, etc), so you can try a different combo. Also, you could have a collection of plugins ready so you can install them quickly instead of adding them again one by one. Also, there is an Emergency Recovery Script which would help you handle errors while trying things out.
