Works well as a base security plugin
WP Security Ninja stands out with a balanced and clear mix of features. It works well as an all-in-one solution but remains simple enough to combine with tools like Patchstack without feeling overwhelming. I haven’t seen that with any other plugin.

Aug 3, 2026Thank you for the thoughtful review! You’ve described exactly what we aim for with WP Security Ninja: a strong, practical security foundation without unnecessary complexity.
It’s also great to hear that it works well alongside a specialized service like Patchstack. WordPress security is rarely one-size-fits-all, and we want users to have the flexibility to combine tools where it makes...

No support (impossible to get to, no replies), Didnt detect a basic malware etc
Am surprised by the high rating! I had multiple issues. They did reply to my first email and promised an update (which came) but then I couldn't log into their website (am blocked).
Tried emailing them multiple times, they never seem to reply!
Worst part: I got rid of Wordfence and Installed this. The very next day my site was hacked (coincidence) even though I had almost all security features enabled. I scanned my site and their scanner didnt detect ANY malware! (I also emailed them the code and apparently its a basic malware). Had to use AI (gemini and gpt) to help me get rid of the malware.
I did upload the file on a backup site and Wordfence and Sucury (free versions) immediatly caught it! Paid Security Ninja didn't!
Had high hopes

Aug 3, 2026Thank you for taking the time to write this, and I am sorry for the experience you had.
On support: you are right that getting through to us was harder than it should have been. Some of your early messages did not reach our helpdesk, and our site login was blocked for you by Cloudflare for a period. That is on us, not on you. We have been working through your case by email since then, and I want...

Great offering
My Wordpress site had recently been compromised even when I had a scanning plugin that was supposed to detect malware. After the site was remediated, I decided to go with WP Security Ninja.
Since installing the plug-in, it has already detected nefarious actors trying to infect my site again, and blocked them without requiring any action on my behalf. It also keeps me informed via email when Wordpress or a plug-in needs updated or has changed if auto updates are enabled from the previous scan. This is a wonderful tool, and I highly recommend it if you have a Wordpress site!

Jul 15, 2026Thank you so much, coachcharlescain!
I’m sorry your site was compromised before, but I’m very glad Security Ninja is already helping block suspicious activity and keep you informed about changes and updates.
That is exactly the goal: practical WordPress security that works quietly in the background, but still tells you when something needs your attention.
Really appreciate the recommendation.

Edit: Amazing support / Malware & Core File Scanning Not adequate
I installed this on a website which was already infected, lot of core files have been modified and some files which aren't meant to be there and a quick glance shows that clearly. Some of the other functions are handy and work well like the Security Advisor etc, and thus I took away only two tacos. Have sent a support email, if I get an adquete response and fix then will change feedback, but I installed wordfence and it instantly caught these issues. Quite worried about my investment.
Edit: I have revised my rating because after reaching out to support and sharing copies of the suspicious files, the explanations were adequate from the team why some of them were missed, and for the rest they have or are releasing an update to improve their scanners. Also turns out wordfence did not catch the culprits after I restored a backup with the malware present to test.

Jun 29, 2026Hi ankush33,
Thank you for the honest feedback, and I’m sorry the scanner did not catch what you expected on an already infected site.
That is something I take seriously. Security Ninja’s core scanner should detect modified WordPress core files when checksum data is available, and the malware scanner uses pattern-based detection for suspicious files. If something obvious was missed, I want to...
