My Wordpress site had recently been compromised even when I had a scanning plugin that was supposed to detect malware. After the site was remediated, I decided to go with WP Security Ninja.
Since installing the plug-in, it has already detected nefarious actors trying to infect my site again, and blocked them without requiring any action on my behalf. It also keeps me informed via email when Wordpress or a plug-in needs updated or has changed if auto updates are enabled from the previous scan. This is a wonderful tool, and I highly recommend it if you have a Wordpress site!
