I got tired of rebuilding the same websites by hand

For over 8 years I’ve built websites with WordPress page builders, and one job kept coming back. A client wants a redesign or a move to a new WordPress install, but the old site sits on a dead host, nobody remembers the login, or the developer who built it disappeared years ago. The site is still live. I can see every section in my browser. I just can’t get any of it out.

So I rebuilt it by hand. The old site in one tab, Elementor or Bricks in the other, recreating it section by section: inspect the padding, copy the font size, match the colors, nest the containers, repeat. One page could eat a whole day. Over the years, that added up to weeks of my life spent rebuilding things that already existed.

I tried the shortcuts. Every importer and cloning tool gave me the same mess: raw HTML dumped into a code block. It looked fine on the front end and was impossible to edit. A client couldn’t change a headline without calling me.

So I built WPGraft. It’s a Chrome extension and WordPress plugin that takes any live page and rebuilds it as native elements in Elementor, Bricks, Breakdance, Oxygen, Divi 5, Gutenberg, Beaver Builder, and Webflow. You don’t get a code block. You get real sections, headings, buttons, and images in the structure panel, with every style in its proper field: typography in the typography controls, spacing in the spacing controls, colors where you’d expect them. It comes out clean, fully editable, and built the way I’d build it by hand, in seconds instead of hours.
