Q: May I request WZ team to increase AI writing limit and include NLP credits in higher tier plan holders.

I have SurferSEO and Jasper, and I am with them since they are at their infancy. As a result, I see them make lots of smart decisions to grow their platforms. Here is what they did to help them grow:

1) SurferSEO - they used to charge NLP credits (because it costs them money) then they realised their end user really can’t use the tool to complete in the market without NLP being included. So now, they give every user NLP credits when they use the program. They don’t even ask users if they want to enable NLP or not. They just assume you must use it and this is now included in every search, every content planner, every content editor. The net result, users are happy and we continue to use their product and continue to give feedback and help them to grow!! Yes NLP do cost money, but losing customers cost them more. Losing confidence on the tool is even more costly.

2) Jasper - Jasper at its early dates, it doesn’t produce good output. Every paragraph I wrote I have to run at least 4 times until I get some meaningful results. But, they have the first mover advantage and able to get more data in short space of time. WZ is a bit late to the party. If you don’t give good enough word counts for your users to experiment and train AI. They simply just don’t use it as they have way better AI writing tool and cheaper. So over time, your tool will be very uncompetitive. If you want your tool to fail, then why do you build it at all?

Dan, please consider this carefully. I went full stack because I trust your team will make the right decision. If this is your last LTD, please let it count and end this on positive note.

A: Thank you Ida for your suggestions.

1. SurferSEO is able to offer their NLP credits for free because that is included in their monthly package. We can't do that on our LTD for financial reasons. The cost will simply be too high for us to cover (we also need to share with Appsumo)
2. Our AI integration was launched less than a week ago and is still in its beta version. We would like to gather more user data and output quality before making any decision in terms of package and pricing.
Thank you again for your support but if you find the limit isn't as good as you expect, we understand if we can't meet the expectation and lose out on a potential customer, but I do hope that you see the generosity of our offer in other limits too.

Hi,
I need to agree with IDA, i knew your products by a couple of reviews on youtube were the affiliates explained everything about the tool, the entire workflow.

But what all of them said was unanimous, the tool is nice SEO, but then for writing since the AI credits are so low, they use 3rd party Content writers (the majority use Jasper.ai).

This basically states that you will not get much data on the writing AI , because none will use it to write 1 or 2 articles, because a typical blogger writes at least 10k - 20k words per month, since the wiritter AI is in beta would be easy to require 4x -5x to generate content until receive an acceptable output.

This means that 5000 words will translate to 1x 1000 word article, so the question is, who ill use it? Probably none.

I believe you should think about it an increase it to a decent value that is enough to people start using it and that way you will get data to do your analysis.

that is my point on this topic.

I understand your point and I'd still suggest implementing what she suggested. I've worked with many developers who share similar concerns to yours when they launch LTD. They always think that there's going to be using a ton of bandwidth or whatever being used if they don't limit the usage but it's just not true for a lot of reasons but the main reasons being:

1. Developers and users always anticipate that they will use more than they actually do if they offer more or an unlimited LTD. Neither ever comes close to their fears.

2. You'll find that many Appsumo users will buy your product and never use it. They buy because of FOMO.

3. Having such tight limits -- without giving any idea how much someone would need to write an article -- stops many people from signing up. I'm trying to figure out what I should buy and I might now buy anything because of the confusion.

Now, here are a couple of ideas:

1. Double everything and let people know about it. I'm positive you won't even come close to your fears.

2. Offer another tier that's unlimited. I always buy those and then I never even come close to using the tool at the next tier down. You'd think I'd learn my lesson but... FOMO.

3. Either don't charge people for the credits until they publish their content -- yes, you'd have to trust that people aren't just going to copy and paste which doesn't happen anyway -- or at least add a function that allows one to automatically rewrite bad content without using their credits. That's also a problem with services like yours.

Stay Awesome!
