I've been a long-time user of dictation software on both macOS and Windows (well over 12 years), and have very high expectations of these products.

While I still use one of those products for longer form documents (on Windows), I am continually frustrated by the need to manually specify formatting, insert new paragraphs, and laboriously correct specialised terms.

Over the past 2 years, I have experimented with several transcription products both for my video work and as a substitute for dictation but I find these tools useful, but somewhat limited, with long processing delays before seeing the finished product and further delays if I use the AI features to draft a formatted document from my transcription. Definitely NOT my preferred alternative to real dictation!

After reading a few positive reviews of WriteVoice, I decided to test the product. Although it’s still early days, I am already impressed and see its advantages over several other dictation products featured in recent AppSumo deals.

I’ve found it extremely flexible in reformatting documents, matching the capabilities of the best transcription software I have used. Far more importantly, it is also significantly faster than any of the comparable products I have tried, and I find it very helpful to move my dictation between my phone and my Mac fairly seamlessly.

Definitely a Keeper!
