Hmmm not sure what the value is here
So, I thought this would be for 3 separate generations, for 3 videos - but it is for 1 video - so you are spending $10 for a single video - with 3 thumbnail choices.
Really no impressive value here, given that YouTube now offers this service FREE in their AI chat inside of YouTube Studio... I didn't see any additional quality over what YouTube gives. Plus, with YouTube's AI it analyzes your own channel, looking at the top performing videos, and then generates the Thumbnail based on that as well, so its generations are more in alignment with your other content.
Fine if you were otherwise going to pay a creator 1 time for a video. But why you call this a "lifetime" deal - I have no idea....it is literally 3 thumbnails for 1 video. Not worth $10 IMO and also felt like this wasn't clearly written in the description.

Pleasantly surprised
I've used a few thumbnail generation tools before and ultimately none of them produced anything that I felt comfortable using for a video's thumbnail. This tool meets or exceeds the quality that I would have generated myself if using Canva, so I'm very happy with the outcome. Pricing is interesting and I'm not fully aligned on the idea of a set fee per video, I personally think flexible pricing by allowing a user to choose how many thumbnails they want to generate might be more accessible for lower-revenue creators.
However, 5 tacos in terms of quality. I'm very happy with the generated thumbnail. If you'd like to see a generated thumbnail, im using one from this product in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrKXVCSOXhc
Wish I kept the old one around to give you something to compare it against, but I threw the old one out as soon as this new one was generated. :)

Easy to use and got 3 pretty solid thumbnail suggestions
I was a bit sceptical as I used similar apps in the past, but I have to say, the final result of 3 thumbnails are great, and I love that there is additional explanation "why each of thumbnail" would work, what angle was targeted, and what I could use for description etc. Definitely will use this tool in the future.

This is the most confusing 5 Taco Offer on Appsumo Right now.
As you can see I have purchased a lot of Appsumo tools and when I first seen this tool I was like wait... what? Okay, what is this? Is it life time? It's only $10 dollars? Is this a joke? Yeah all of the things you are thinking about right now.
I pulled it off the shelf, because I want tool makers to put their money where their mouth is and if you say it can do one thing then I want to know if it actually can before I even think about recommending it to anyone.
ThumbGen by Appsumo messed my head up because my first go around I used it for a current YouTube video I had already posted because I did not have one readily available at the time. You have an option of uploading or sharing a YouTube link. You also have an option of putting in some notes.
Here is the ultimate test. I load a live stream video I did with another founder where we were side by side and doing a podcast style video with a product demo in the middle. I was wearing my usual headphones I normally wear on podcasts so I can hear feedback well. You have no idea what would happen next. I created a small video demo of the entire process here

Overall I honestly did not think this tool would get a 5 Taco rating based on it's simplicity, but it actually exceeded my expectations. You will be surprised once you pull it off the shelf. To be honest I have not idea with Appsumo is going with this tool. I can honestly say I while I will not use it for every video I do in the future I will pick it up and use it for my high value videos for sure. I think it is priced right, maybe $7 is a sweet spot or maybe 3 codes for $15 seems like a nice sweet spot. Stay tuned as Appsumo is starting get off the couch and get into their creative bag and I am here for it.
