Despite the potentially conflicting title, I must emphasize that this video creation software stands out as one of the best I've used. Its affordability is a major plus, and while it could benefit from some fine-tuning, I'm confident that updates and improvements are on the horizon.

Having worked in the video industry for some time, I've encountered a few 'classic' video / AI LTDs that didn't quite meet my needs OR I MISSED the GOOD ONES!. When I discovered ZebraCat, I was drawn in by its unique features and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a perfect fit for my requirements.

In my case, I had a client who had a god-awful explainer video for their boutique product that serves a very niche market. It was too long, the VO was awful, and the graphics were "OK," which is to be expected in that industry.

I went on a quest to make this a one-minute video, tighten the story up, and get a much better voiceover for the project. In my case, I used another program to generate the script (as this AI system was trained to learn this industry). I imported it into Zebracat, and within a couple of minutes, I had a video that blew me away.

* The voice-over was absolutely freekin' amazing ....
* The music bed (although a BIT loud) was amazing (I found out there was a volume slider later)
* The graphics were DECENT, better than I expected ...
* And for one minute, it was SOLID ...

That being said, I took the ZebraCat project, put it into Camtasia, and did some other editing / b rolls and graphic inserts to make it more custom.

Here's the kicker. In just about 15 minutes, I completely revamped the client's video using ZebraCat. The transformation was so remarkable that the client was utterly astounded. They're now planning to showcase it at an upcoming trade show and on their website. Talk about a game-changer!

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.

* The text overlay/subtitles were a hot mess for me. They were a bit out of sync, and I wish I could MOVE them to another location on the screen AND / OR be able to turn off and edit the words a bit as well (similar to what you can do in CapCut). In my case, turning them off TOTALLY would have been even BETTER (if that option is there, I may have missed it as I bought this and started jumping in right away)

* It would be nice to have some CapCut-style ways to edit the video, make cuts, and tweak dissolves and b-rolls—I had to customize it a bit in Camtasia. This is not a complaint, but having more control of the editing would SPEED UP THE WORKFLOW!

* The ability to not eat up so many credits if you make an edit etc. I get that generative AI costs things, but maybe, somehow, a way to "economize" on the credits would be great. Again, I'm not a programmer but, just throwing it out there.

IN SHORT - I would have paid DOUBLE for this (if there were more credits of course HA HA), but this one is a NO BRAINER. If you are doing video, or planning on doing videos ... this is one to grab now.

Is it perfect? Far from it! Is there room to grow? Sure! Can you start making some serious stuff here with it as it is? ABSOLUTELY! For the price, it's a steal!
