Q: Hello Ziggeo,
I stacked multiple codes when this offer was first available mid-year.
I am developing a custom app / Wordpress plugin, which is actually a plugin for another Wordpress plugin called Peepso (which basically turns Wordpress into a Facebook style social media platform).
The custom plugin I am developing adds functionality to Peepso to do "Live Video" broadcasts in the Peepso Newsfeed, similar to how it's done on Facebook. Once the "Live" stream has ended, the video would be available for replay in the Newsfeed post.
Live streaming is not the only reason I purchased Ziggeo as a possible solution, but this will require the "Live" video feature that is on the Ziggeo roadmap - which has not seemed to visibly move this year so far.
Do you have any updates on the progress of your roadmap - specifically Live video?
excited to try it out. Just trying to figure out how many codes I'll need. If a client is recording a 10 minute video for me to review, but they are a perfectionist so they record it 5 times, is that counted as 50 minutes of "recording" time toward my monthly limit?
We only count the final recording, so if the final video is 10 minutes long we'll only count those 10 minutes towards your monthly limit - even if the video was re-recorded 5-10 times.
Q: This question is for all the lovely Sumo-lings who know better and are willing to give some insight.
I need some help deciding between Ziggeo vs VideoPeel, I have 4 days left to refund VideoPeel.
So here is the thing. Initially I did check out Ziggeo's webinar as well as VideoPeel's webinar and decided to go with VideoPeel, mainly because it did what I wanted it for, minus the coding part that we might have to go through to properly implement Ziggeo. However, I have been waiting for the CNAME feature promised by VideoPeel, which is even on their deal page. I have been in contact with VideoPeel in regards to the CNAME, but have been getting weird replies, "its coming by end of Aug" which then became "its coming by end of Sept", then "end of Oct" and recently they released the "Custom URL" feature and when I asked about proper CNAME, they tried to dodge it. When I insisted they give me a proper response to which they said "we do not have CNAME on our roadmap...".... I was jaw-dropped!! Thats when I decided to probably refund them (not refunded yet), because this is insane/ridiculous attitude of VideoPeel (they probably thought my refund period is over lol). Basically I can't trust VideoPeel anymore!
Anyway, the confusion is.... I am not sure if Ziggeo will be easy to implement without all the coding hassle, and I use a custom builder so there might be some compatibility issue/hassle there. I would like to know, what is the quality of videos recorded by Ziggeo? Have Ziggeo been on top of implementing things that are on their roadmap?
Any input/thoughts from sumo-lings who are using Ziggeo or even VideoPeel would help. Cheers!!
Videopeel is easier but lacks customizability and flexibility.
Ziggeo is also easy though you just add the buttons and they have hosted pages as well.
But where Ziggeo strength lies in that you can use it for a ton of other stuff. You can build your own landing page and form and simply add/embed a Ziggeo button to it. So if you are a fan of flexibility defnitely Ziggeo hands down wins....
I would definitely like more flexibility. And I am an iOS developer, but not good at HTML/CSS stuff, so a bit overwhelmed with the web coding part, but I guess it is a one off coding and I can embed it on my website and I dont have to worry about CNAME etc. Thanks again for your input, I will look into it further and hopefully grab it before the deal...
Q: Will this work for multiple clients who own their own website?
For example, if I create a widget to collect video testimonials for someone's website, can I reuse that same widget on a different website? Can you clarify what is meant by unlimited applications?
Yes, you could reuse the same widget on as many sites as you want. If you want to keep your client's videos separated you can create a different application for each one of them. Each application will have its own unique application token, which is all you'd need to change on your widget to define where the collected videos should be stored.
Q: Hi I just bought the deal and saw that analytics are not included in the plan.
How come is that and what is the cost to unlock it?
