Thanks

A: Hi newsumo,

At the moment we don’t hardcode subtitles into videos, but that's an interesting idea! Please, feel free to post about it on our feature request forum, if there are a lot of people interested in it we could add it to our roadmap:

Hi NewSumo,

Thanks for your question.

Just for confirmation, by hardcode you mean that the subtitles should be available even without the subtitles file?

I feed two files to ziggeo (video + subtitle)
Ziggeo gives me one file (video) with subtitles "burnt" into video.
Thanks

I'd like to know if a subtitle file (auto-transcription?) can be associated with a video and included *easily* in the player. I've had some struggles with subtitles and transcription.

Hi devdbydesign,

Of course, you can easily display subtitles on the Ziggeo player. :)

If you enabled automatic audio transcription you can use those as subtitles by adding one extra parameter to the player: “audio-transcription-as-subtitles”.

You can also upload your own subtitles (in webvtt format) using the recorder or one of our server-side SDKs. Or if you have the subtitles hosted somewhere else you can display them on the player by passing the source url.

If you have any questions, please, feel free to post them here or reach out to our support team at support@ziggeo.com, we’ll be happy to help you!
