What I like about Ziggeo
🌮 if you are a techie guy like me to likes to tinker with Software then you'll love the possibilities with their API. They have a wordpress plugin, but did not use it yet.
🌮 The processing is fast in my testing so far (recording and uploading). Video plays smooth, and I see they have their own CDN (US and Europe only as of this time)
🌮 Video push to Dropbox, FTP, and S3
🌮 Video Effects and automatic watermarks
What is missing?
🍹 It's unlike the beautiful interfaces you see on Dubb, Videopeel, Hippovideo, Clapboard, Publitio, etc. but the deal is not for those kinds of interfaces / features. They have static pages available but you'll need to know how to do handcoding! (https://share.mrdzyn.work/9Je6jt)
🍹 Analytics is not included in the plan?
🍹 They only integrate with Dropbox... more coming?
They do have a promising roadmap, but my personal recommendation is go with the present, hope for the future! (https://ziggeo.com/roadmap/)
Use Cases
Like the saying goes "there are a 1001 ways to skin a cat", same goes with coming up with a technical solution / each programmer has their own programming style, there are certainly numerous ways one can go about "replicating" what their platform can do. However, their current offer does not limit your storage, but only on the minutes that their recording and player has run on your account. They even allow you to upload videos onto their platform!

Sandoboxes are definitely a great way to start with.
I do wish to add more info on the point of region. These are completely separated regions allowing us to fully support GDPR regulations. Each with its own server architecture and CDN servers in place allowing you to pick the one where you want the video processing to happen. This includes the storage however also audio transcription to be pulled out of video as well as the NSFW filter (the nudity detection).
In terms of static pages, they are there to make it possible to use our system if you prefer not to use your website, or if you do not have a website. For example if you were needed to create something that scales in 2 minutes and go around the street or network collecting video - these would be best for due to our templates. Changing the templates is of course possible - at which point you need to know coding or reach out to us :)
Our Analytics is not, however we do support Google Analytics in our code. It is super simple to activate and since you said you like to work with code, check this super simple copy paste way to handle code (there is option to turn on analytics): https://ziggeo.com/docs/sdks/javascript/browser-integration/header
In terms of integrations, we actually have quite a few integrations we support. The Integrations page under Manage is actually showing Dropbox since it requires you to create a token (clicking that button creates the token for our system to push the details over).
If you were to go to Manage > Video Push Services there you would see FTP (including SFTP), AWS S3 and Dropbox.
These are integrations that you can push the videos over to. We however support all of the integrations mentioned on these pages: ziggeo.com/integrations and ziggeo.com/docs/integrations for integrations where you can add our system to. :)
