The platform seems to be working just fine. Some tweaking needed. One thing urgent..........need to have guest comment without creating an account. Is there an ETA?

Hello there,
Thanks a heap for the 5 tacos. There is no ETA for the guest user for now, but it will probably be done in a few months max.
I just purchased Zooc's single code to test the product.
I don't know what to say. The concept is great but the product has many UX issues.
Generally, I don't leave my feedback here but this is a kind of product that has a great concept but it is not properly tested by the dev. I am surprised why didn't the developers or the AppSumo team test the product before the launch here.
The dev team seems to have worked hard to develop the product but didn't give much attention to the testing and especially the UX issues.
The concept is great but I have noticed the following issues:
1. The speed is unacceptably slow. I have been testing a similar product that was recently on AppSumo and their speed is much better.
2. Chrome extension partial section part did not work.
3. Even the annotation on full page Chrome extension screenshot didn't work.
4. There is an option in the app, with which the user can share the screen. This feature is totally buggy. It shares the screen but one has to press recording again to record the screen.
5. The other problem is that we cannot annotate while the screen is captured, recording is on. The recording goes away as soon we start annotation on the sharescreen+record mode.
6. Some annotations were lost.
7. We cannot see, replay, see right annotation on our own uploaded video. The team members however can see these fine. SO basically the person who is annotating the video can not see his own work or repeat the process on same screen. The flow is bit strange.
I would say that I would be happy to retain one code provided the founder is committed to improve the product within my 60 days expiry period. I would buy more codes if the product is improved especially the speed.
Would give 3 tacoos for their effort. Hope we can have some kind of commitment or extended refund period until the product is fixed.
Cheers

Hello Shahab,
I hope you are doing well. My apologies for replying a bit late.
I thought Sumolings are micro-investors who see the long term vision therefore they buy life time deals. I went through all your comments and tried to leave my replies with the hope that you can change your review. Most of them are issues that are either already fixed or will be fixed in a few months.
To be honest, if SapphireWolf would not have given more then two tacos, I think I would only have given four tacos. I like Sapphire Wolfs reviews very much and he often gets it on the point, but in this special case it feels like he focussed on something that is not really important to me: The Collaboration on Websites. And it feels like I want to bring it "in balance".
While I totally agree on his review, my focus is much more on "asynchron communication" and Zooc gives a great vision of what the future could bring. The first moment I saw it I understood this concept of communication.
Every "topic" that a team could discuss about is like "one card". It starts with a video, a text, an image or anything, but naturally for a communication the "start with a video" feels like it´s the best starting-point. Now, after the communication is startet, everybody can add input. Every Team-Member can add or record his own video or add a text or a link or an image. For me this is not a "object-collaboration-tool" but much more a "team-communication-basis.
In addition to that, every single of this "topics" is catched in a card that can be sorted in a kanban-view. I LOVE this conecpt. It´s like when I have 100s of topics in a team of 12 persons and everybody wants to focus on something else, with this kind of communiation you can. I can imagine this way teams with hundreds of persons can communicate fluently and by the asynchron effect it is not really time-consuming in terms of organisation. Once a topic is done it goes into the "done"-tab of the kanban-view and that´s it. I LOVE this concept!
On top of this the team seems to be so passionate about the product and the deal-terms seem so fair, they are not so much "business-sharks" but much more "passionate product-developers" so I really want to support it and it feels like "investing" in a good Idea and not like "buying a software".
But right, there are many downs. I directly bought it, redeemed the codes and I found myself in a very young and buggy backend. The cards can´t be dragged, the webcam-recording did not work and many other issues. So for me this software is really an "investment" and the 5 tacos are describing that I insanely hope that this software will grow and grow as the Idea is so great.
Last thought , and I was close to reducing one taco: Your first code brings 12 users. The second code brings additional 48 users. And every additional code brings another 10 users. For 690 Dollars we get only 140 Users.
While the Storage is limited it should not be that risky for you to add way more users. And I would love to give all of my customers the possibility to jump in on some discussions. So adding something like 60 more users for every code would spread your software much more and you can still be safe as you have your limits in the Storage.
All the best, Julian!

Hello Julian,
Thank you so very much for your love, support and feedback.
We love this community for the reason that lovely Sumolings like your self invest on the team and idea not the current state of the software.
My apologies for all the bugs, we are a young self funded startup and we are working over 60 hours a week to resolve all of the bugs. Infact we are just hiring one more developer...
I was excited for this deal since it is something that is definitely a bit different than your average "collaboration" platform and really plays to asynchronous communication - amidst COVID, this is extremely helpful as folks have been stranded in different time zones, making things much more difficult.
However, my initial impressions are less than ideal.
Since Volley was also added to the marketplace, I really wanted to pit the two side-by-side when it came to Website annotations. Well, there is a very clear winner there - Volley. I know this feature is still considered "beta", but I fear that it's going to be one of the main attractions to Sumo-lings, especially for someone like me who wants to see how Volley and Zooc compare in that space. Some things that immediately stood out to me: Volley uses an extension to drop comments. While you can't add other things like lines, circles, or drawing, like you can in Zooc, there was a degree of polish when using Volley's extension to add comments. Using Zooc's solution, you're met with an iframe that doesn't fully render the site - many elements were missing entirely from the site, which means...I can't address or work on them in any way. Additionally, adding comments in Zooc is a mess. Sure, it's easy to ADD the comment initially, but if you switch tools, I have zero idea how to add another, and if you want to address them by either deleting or resolving them, regardless of the action, they persist - and this carries over into other canvases as well - not a fun experience.
I was also under the impression (and maybe this is just my own stupidity...) that this was also centered around communication with collaboration features, but it's actually the opposite, such that most of the screen's real estate is leant to collaboration, with communication being only a sliver of it. If you switch to Kanban view, you're not able to create a new canvas, and the communication feature is removed as well - very odd decision.
There are also a myriad of other UX choices that are very odd as well, such as not being able to delete a canvas from the Workspace overview (you have to click into the canvas and delete from there) or the inability to move canvases from one stage in the workflow to another in Kanban view (seems to defeat the purpose of Kanban then), and many more than you experience as you use the platform.
Maybe it was my own expectations that sort of...ruined this experience for me, but using Zooc just doesn't feel...right. So many elements to it as a user just feels wrong and disjointed. And sadly, I feel that these issues, while not huge individually in regards to development, begin to pile up and you're met with what feels an insurmountable task in regards to redesigning the platform from the ground up in order to provide the polish it deserves.
As always, make your own conjecture! But Zooc rubs me the wrong way unfortunately :(
