Q: "Can customers select a date for service delivery (e.g., a coaching session or pickup date ) during checkout?"
Hi! I'm evaluating Zylvie for two business models that require date selection during checkout:
1. Bakery pre-orders with in-store pickup
Customers order products (cakes, pastries) today and need to select a specific pickup date (e.g., January 5th). We need a date picker so customers can choose exactly when they want their order ready.
2. Coaching/service bookings
Clients purchase a session and should select their preferred date/time for delivery.
My questions:
✓ Does Zylvie support date selection (calendar/date picker) in checkout- either natively or via custom fields?
✓ If not built-in, which integrations would you recommend? (Calendly, TidyCal, etc.)
✓ Can custom fields capture and validate dates automatically?
✓ Is there a way to restrict available dates or set pickup windows?

First of all, we can handle the payments for the cake orders as well as the coaching services.
That's what we do best.
However, I'd highly recommend you to use a calendar booking service (TidyCal is an LTD as well, and it's very easy to use) for the date/time booking for 2 reasons:
1. They're more complete feature set-wise (e.g. like you said, date validation, pickup windows, restrict dates, etc. etc.). It's what platforms like TidyCal are built for exactly.
2. Most importantly, putting the calendar picker BEFORE buyers pay will definitely kill conversions. We've seen this happen over and over again.
So yes, while we can collect dates upfront, it's better to let them purchase whatever it is they want to purchase first, THEN either redirect them to the booking platform (TidyCal) or send the booking link to them via email, AFTER they've completed purchase.
