TLDR: Ignore the haters.

My take:

If you've seen all the other reviews saying...

"This was a bait and switch..."
"Don't trust the founder..."
"Shouldn't have bought this..."

Truth is, NONE of those people realize how good of a deal they got.

This LTD was for a finite # of runs per month.

With the update where people were downgraded to the "free" plan, what they're missing is this:

That "free" plan for Appsumo LTD holders is actually unlimited.

That means:

- Unlimited runs
- Unlimited steps
- Unlimited active flows

As a power user, I currently use ~400,000 flow runs/mo.

On n8n that'd cost me ~$4,381/mo

On Zapier that'd cost me ~$3,999/mo

So the fact that I got Tier 3 LTD for a few hundred bucks is insane.

And that's not even considering it'll scale (for free) as my company scales.

Sure, the founder could have done a better job explaining the transition.

But when you break out the math, Activepieces is hands down one of THE BEST bang for buck deals on Appsumo.

I'm back here to correct my review, to say that it has been resolved and everything is in order.

Actually, I don't even know what happened anymore. On the day of the complaint, I tried to use ActivePierce and every action within it required a plan update.

No, I had seen a support link on the ActivePierce website, so I came here to Appsumo, and saw several complaints that influenced me, and I ended up following suit and making my own complaint in the same format.

But now everything is as agreed.

I bought my license on June 13, 2024, which was advertised as a lifetime license at the time.

I only bought it to take advantage of the offer, knowing I would use it someday. That day arrived, and guess what? I went to use it and realized my license wasn't active. I tried to contact them to see what happened, but there's no way to get in touch; their only channel is sales. I checked their social media, and they don't have any. So I figured it all out; it's all downhill from here.

I came here to check out Appsumo, and to my complete surprise, I saw that this problem isn't unique to me.

But I just wanted to register my indignation here because, with this dishonest attitude, these guys won't prosper. I'll be wary because they'll change their name and come back here to pull the same scam.

I have very old licenses from other apps; they honored their promises, delivered improvements, and are thriving solely because of their honesty.

Looking at the comments it looks like I am not the only one getting tricked thinking that I was supporting a new venture and getting an LTD with future updates, but instead we got downgraded to the free tear, even when we were in the 3rd tear. Not happy.

The AppSumo plans are laughable. Useless.

Active Pieces did not comply with the terms of the lifetime agreement and did not correctly map to the new subscription plans.

Those who purchased a lifetime agreement now have the equivalent of a free subscription plan.
Active Pieces deceived its founding members, who purchased the offer to support the app's growth.

We were betrayed because of the greed of Active Pieces' founder.
