Alvanda

Manage business processes and team workload on a productivity-focused platform

Sold out

In a world where people argue about whether milk or cereal goes in the bowl first, you can’t leave your business procedures up to chance. (It’s cereal, by the way.)

Most project management tools just focus on what to do, but pay no attention to explaining how to do it.

Good thing there’s a project management tool with a built-in procedure builder that helps your team see the company process alongside any task.

Get it done right with Alvanda.

Overview

Alvanda is a business management platform that helps teams collaborate, streamline processes, and align with strategic goals.

Say goodbye to lengthy Notion docs! Alvanda lets you quickly create flowcharts for any procedure in just minutes.

Attach a procedure to any task you create to give your assignee a step-by-step guide that they can easily follow along.

If a team member ever gets stuck, they can chat and send clarifying messages right on this platform.

Alvanda also offers automatic escalations to managers, so notifications can get sent up the chain based on customizable timelines.

Procedures builder

Create visual procedures and attach them to any task you delegate to your team.

Even better, this platform lets you create a strategic quarterly roadmap for every area of your business that you can share with your team.

Quarterly goals are color-coded by overall progress, so your team can see at a glance what’s going well and what needs more attention.

Define action steps or milestones for each initiative with assignees, relevant procedures, and deadlines,  keeping everyone in the loop every step of the way.

Strategic roadmap

Keep your team on track with color-coded strategic quarterly roadmaps.

Alvanda also lets you build out a visual organizational chart that helps your team understand exactly who their peers are, who they report to, and how they fit into the company.

Automatically share access to relevant procedures, documents, and information just by adding someone to a role on this chart.

For example, you can onboard an accountant and automatically grant them access to invoices, contracts, and financial statements.

Whether you have high turnover in certain positions or you’re adding more positions to specific departments, this platform helps you streamline those pesky onboarding tasks.

Organizational chart

Map out your company in an organizational chart with a built-in permissions matrix.

Best of all, Alvanda automatically tracks time spent on all tasks, so you can identify bottlenecks and make smart adjustments.

Simplify your hourly billing with auto-generated timesheets that break down everything an employee or contractor has done.

And because managers can easily see project progress, team members don’t have to waste precious meeting minutes sharing updates.

Time tracking

Use the automated time and workload tracking to get more done as a team.

Alvanda combines a process builder and organizational chart with a powerful project manager to make work more efficient.

Optimize your business processes.

Q: Hi, I quite interested in buying your tool, but I do have some questions: 1) Can I visualize and share tasks in a gantt diagram?

2) Can I create custom dashboards showing tasks burnout?
3) Does it have an API?
4) Do you have a mobile app?
5) Can I estimate time for each taks?
6) Can I import data from ClickUp?

Thanks a lot for your diligence,

A: Hi there!

Thank you for your interest!

I'll try to reply to your questions one by one:
1)
As you'll be able to see in our latest Development Update (found on our blog at www.alvanda.com/blog) we've just launched Pathways within Alvanda.

This 1 feature alone allows you to interlink as many procedures to one another as you want. Once linked, one task completion starts another, then another, etc. and it ALSO automatically delegates the correct person, adds them a deadline based on parameters you set, and so on.

Now that this feature is implemented, in this next/current Development Sprint, we are building Processes.

The Processes Module will allow you to see a visual representation of ANY Process (i.e. group of interlinked Procedures).

That will be similar to a Gantt Diagram, just much more focused on *the process itself* as THAT is what we believe matters most.

More so, you can also have visual representations of work in various different parts of Alvanda. You can see the progress of any type of deliverable across its entire lifecycle within the Flows module. You can see Quarterly Strategies in the Roadmaps section. Etc.

2)
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you're referring to by "task burnout." There are many different views and dashboards in Alvanda, and so far every user agreed they are sufficient to get a pulse of both individual people and projects/initiatives at large.

3)
So far, no one asked for any specific APIs to be implemented. In the next few days we plan to do a Poll with all of our paying users, asking them what features they want. If you'd like any specific APIs to be created, then that's where you can request it! :)

4)
With regards to a Mobile App, yes, that is on our Roadmap as well. The reason we haven't made that yet was simply because we wanted to get all of our modules and features to a very mature state (i.e. get and implement feedback from the community) BEFORE we start investing into duplicating those features into a mobile app.

5)
Yes, you can estimate time even for EVERY STEP of every task. :) So you can go very granular.

6)
You can import user data right now into Alvanda (i.e. invite all your colleagues via 1 sheet).

Anything else might not be compatible as Alvanda has a very different way of operating. We don't believe in endless tasks lists. We believe in having defined Procedures for every part of the business, and then allowing automation to do it's job of delegating tasks, assigning the right people, etc.

Hope these answers provide some clarity.

Also, be sure to email support@alvanda.com after your purchase! I'm sure the team will love helping you set up your business for scale!

Q: Does it have multilingual support?

Does it support right to left text?

These a major drawbacks I face on Clickup a notion. I would love to see languages such as Arabic to be an option as a system language so staff can better navigate themselves around the app

Is there a mobile app for Alvanda?

A: Hello! And thank you for sharing!

We already discussed multi-lingual support internally since last year, and we do have it on our long-term Roadmap, just without a specific deadline yet, as we're waiting for the AppSumo Launch to finish, and then based on the "votes" from every paying user, we'll re-prioritize the Roadmap.

If multi-language is important for you, make sure you let support@alvanda.com know! :)

Note: You would be the *5th paying user* that mentioned it, and the moment we start development will get closer with each vote! :)

With regards to a Mobile App, yes, that is on our Roadmap as well. The reason we haven't made that yet was simply because we wanted to get all of our modules and features to a very mature state (i.e. get and implement feedback from the community) BEFORE we start investing into duplicating those features into a mobile app.

A final point that I'd like to mention is around your mention of Clickup and Notion:
Just to be clear, Alvanda is so much MORE for a business than those tools.

Clickup is a glorified task list with time tracking included, and Notion is a glorified journaling app, that can me frankenstined into a collaborative tool.
I of course have nothing against those tools. They're great for what they offer. However, they're *in a different category of tools*.

On the other hand, Alvanda is a Business Process Optimization Platform.

Alvanda allows companies to:
1. Design each one of their business processes to reach higher levels of consistency and predictability
2. Have their team follow those processes *within the same platform* as the one you designed them in
3. Enjoy automated time tracking and workload reporting for all tasks across all staff
4. Benefit from complete company-wide clarity with an enterprise-grade Organizational Chart
5. And a TON of other features such as Guiding Documents, Global Escalations and so much more.

Hope this answers your questions, and we look forward to seeing you on the inside!

Oh, and don't forget to email support@alvanda.com after your purchase! I'm sure the team will love helping you set up your business for scale!

Q: TWO QUESTIONS: 1) How can Alvanda best be used by a consultancy business where collaborators (org chart) changes for every project?

2) Can one Alvanda account be used for multiple brands/businesses or do we need an account for each brand/business. Specifically, we have a central office and then an 18 location portfolio with individual branding for each. We also have an e-com store and a staffing company, so three businesses (one with multiple locations.) Can Alvanda be used in this way?

A: Good morning!

Great questions! I'll take them one at a time.

1)
What I recommend is having 1 Alvanda account for *yourselves* (that is private, so just for your employees), and then 1 "Demo" account / Consultant OR Client.

As such, if you have 3 Clients in parallel, you can present 3 different Org Charts to them, without having to keep changing them.

Now, I'm not sure if you expect those clients to potentially start using Alvanda (the Org Chart / Job Descriptions / Procedures / Strategic Roadmaps) you laid out for them.

IF YES, then you can even start a new Trial Account for each client. Where you build everything out for them, and then once you're service is done, you Invite them to the Account, and make THEM Admin + Chairman. So then they basically become the co-owners of the account.

Then, if you want to keep rendering service for them, you can keep your user in their company account, and ongoingly help them. If not, then you can simply ask them to Deactivate you.

In this niche case, I still recommend having 1-2 Demo accounts, which should help you during the SALES stage, to basically show them "this is what I'm going to build out for you." Then, once the deal is closed, you create the Trial Accounts for each client (OR ask them to create an account, and invite you).

2)
IF you own multiple companies that basically do the same thing, then maybe yes, you can have 1 Alvanda account for all of them. Because the Org Chart will be shared, the Procedures will all be the same, etc.

The only 2 caveats here are:

a) How much view you're OK with everyone having?

Remember the Company pages are meant to be a place of complete transparency. So let's say you have 5 people on average per location. 18 x 5 = 90. So ALL of those 90 people will see everyone else in the company. They'll see all of the CEOs from each location, all of the staff, etc. (If this is something you WANT, then great! If not, then think about it more)

b) Are each location's Mission/Vision the same?

If one location's Vision is to reach $1M this year, and another's is to reach $500K, plus a few other differences in the HOW they plan to do that locally (you said they have individual branding, so not sure), then again that might be a consideration. (Similarly as with point 2a), if you want to align every location to the same ONE big Mission/Vision, then great! If not, then you might want a bit of separation)

IF the companies are different (eg. Consultancy, eComm, Recruitment, etc.) then I highly recommend different companies, because the almost everything about one company will be different. Visions, Missions, Org Charts, Procedures, Strategic Initiatives, etc. all vary a lot between different types of Services businesses and an eComm business.

Hope this helps, and have a productive week ahead!

(Btw, sorry it took a couple days to reply, I was off during this weekend :)

Q: How would you compare Alvanda to other BPM tools, such as Kissflow or Process.

st? What are it's relative strengths, and which areas are in need of improvement?

A: Hi there! Such a great question!

Dissimilar from other PRM tools, Alvanda actually helps teams *create the company of their dreams.*

Other BPM tools (I prefer not to mention names) just focus on automatizing the processes themselves and nothing else.

Now, that's not to discredit or minimize their usefulness. Not at all--we spent over 2 years building an enterprise-grade BPM tool, so we know how difficult it is.

At the same time, Alvanda steps much deeper into every company by guiding them towards *How business SHOULD be done.*

Alvanda helps companies define and gain clarity on their mission and vision, it helps them consciously build and maintain the culture they want, it helps everyone on the team understand exactly where they fit into the picture and what's expected of them, it helps them become much more strategic with their efforts, and many, many other benefits that actually takes companies forward.

Most businesses aren't struggle because they don't automate a couple workflows... They're struggling because the *fundamentals of business excellence (such as company-wide clarity, alignment, and accountability) are not in place!* :)

THAT is what Alvanda helps companies achieve. The BPM side of the platform is just PART of that goal. :)

Hope this helps!

As always, if you need any help building up your business, email support@alvanda.com and the team will gladly be of service!

Thank you!
