A: Hi! To be honest, we don't publish hard benchmark numbers - because at the end of the day they'd just be "our word for it," and we'd rather have you try it yourself (free refunds :)). That said, here's how we think about speed:

- Local models: Amical supports local AI models (unlike Blip, Wispr, and most other competitors which are cloud-only), so transcription happens entirely on your machine - no internet round trip, which is meaningfully faster and private.
- Cloud: Most competitors including Blip rely on third-party transcription APIs, while we host our own models in multiple regions close to users (and expanding). In our own internal tracking, ~90% of cloud dictations in Amical complete in under 1 second.
- Vs. Wispr Flow specifically: We're comparable - last I checked, you really can't tell the difference in everyday use.
