Works as expected.. Almost!

I love this tool; it works great and is similar to Wispr Flow. It's accurate, and the formatting adjusts well depending on the message. It recognizes complex words and processes messages quickly. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that I haven't figured out how to get it to work on Apple products. It works well on my Android phone and Windows laptop, but I can't get it to work on my iPad. I hope they fix this soon.

I would also like them to offer local models that work without internet and the ability to type messages in other languages, which is currently missing.

Incredible product

This app works so good that I don't even need to proofread after using the voice dictation. Nothing I've used is more accurate or easier to use.

I almost ended up disappointed

First of all, I want to clarify that I am not an English speaker. I am also writing this review using a translator.
When I first tested Amical on Android, I just had to press the button once, and it would listen while I was speaking and automatically convert my speech to text when I finished talking. So, I immediately purchased it and used it like that at first.
But at some point, when I pressed the button, the floating window would just disappear, and I was left talking to myself.
I tested it dozens of times, and a few times it worked like that, but then the floating window disappeared again on its own.
Even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app, it was the same.
I was thinking about asking for a refund when I read reviews on Appsumo that said you have to keep the button pressed while speaking, so I tried that and it worked well. It turns out I didn’t know how to use it properly... hahaha
But looking at it differently, there were definitely some errors those few times, right? During testing, the floating window kept appearing like a Windows error, and I even had to reboot my phone.
I’m using it well now, but I think there should be a more detailed explanation of how to use it. So, I’m leaving 5 tacos. Please make it more convenient and improve it.

I have to be really honest

I just purchased the app yesterday and activated it and in one day it said I used all of my 200,000 words which is impossible. I’ve been using Willow dictate for almost 7 months and then that seven months I have 450,000 words how can it say that I use 200,000 words one day I’ll see what the admin says before I request a refund

Update: I'm updating the review to five stars. These guys' support is phenomenal. It was all my mistake. I signed up for a free account with a different email and I used that one, and that's why it hit the limit. I thought it was a bug on the end of the app, but it was all human error. It was my fault.

Spoke to support. He helped me get through it. No problem. Thank you guys. By the way, the app is phenomenal. I have a very thick New York accent being from Brooklyn, New York, and it captures my words perfectly, even with my thick accent. That's why I was very upset when it said that I hit my limit. It works really good.

Hi Jason,

It really is almost impossible to use all 200,000 words within one day.
I don't see any ticket in our system matching what you've decided.
Please reach out to us via email at [email protected] or via discord at https://amical.ai/community so that we can look into what went here and make things right.

Update -
I did an audit of our billing records, and it seems like you are signed up in...

Amical worth every penny

I’ve been using Amical and so far I’m very impressed with it. Transcription is very fast, and the mobile app feels responsive and easy to use.

One thing I noticed immediately is how well it picks up my voice. I previously used Letterly, and in my experience, Amical does a better job recognizing what I’m saying, which means I spend less time correcting the transcription afterward.

I also really like that I can use it on unlimited devices. That makes it much more practical since I regularly switch between my phone and computer.

The 600,000-word monthly allowance is also very generous. For normal everyday dictation, notes, ideas, and longer conversations, that is a huge amount of usage.

Overall, Amical has been fast, accurate, responsive, and very convenient. For my needs as a voice-to-text/dictation app, I prefer Amical over Letterly, especially because of its better voice recognition, unlimited devices, and generous monthly word allowance.

Very happy with the purchase so far.
