I have tested practically every voice transcription tool that has appeared on AppSumo, and I already own VoiceDash (T3). Unfortunately, VoiceDash has caused me quite a few problems. It is not very reliable - there are frequent freezes, missing transcriptions, and sometimes, especially on my phone, I had to wait several seconds before the transcription appeared.

After purchasing Amical, I was honestly shocked by how fast it works. The transcription appears almost instantly, the app runs very smoothly on my Android phone, and the transcription quality is excellent. Finally, I can work without constantly worrying whether the app will actually work or not.

Another excellent feature is the option to use local AI models on your own computer instead of relying on the cloud. I personally have not used this feature yet, because speed is very important to me, so I currently use Amical’s cloud transcription. But the fact that this option exists is absolutely fantastic and gives users much more flexibility and control.

Of course, Amical is not completely without flaws. Sometimes there are still transcription issues and I need to run the transcription again. But what I really appreciate is that the audio is saved, so I can simply go to the dashboard and generate the transcription again without losing anything. This is a very important and useful feature.

The only things I currently miss are a system prompt feature, where I could tell the AI how to rewrite my speech, what tone to use, and how to handle certain types of text, as well as an action mode that would allow me to execute commands.

Even with these missing features, I still rate Amical 5 out of 5. It is truly worth it. Out of all the speech-to-text tools I have tested from AppSumo, Amical is generally the best one.
