While I am impressed by the amount of contacts I'm very disappointed that your system says I can't export them despite having nearly 2000 credits left.

It's a great product, providing results quickly using domains or company names. I like it a lot and hope you improve it even more soon.

Running form this app like I would be running from a plague, so I'm refunding my 4 codes within 30 minutes of my purchase.

This listing is very misleading!

I believed that I could export 300 times up to 500 contacts at a time when buying 4 codes. I thought it was a weird limitation, but it's even more macabre. In fact, I will be able to SEE 17.000 contacts, but only export 300 per month (yeah, TOTAL)!

When I realized this, could just think that it was probably a joke, but it's not.

This seems more like a "Bait LTD" so we can be sold add-ons in-app to access features and functionalities that should already be available since there's no additional costs for the app.

No matter the excuses made up for not allowing to export the leads that WE ALREADY PAID TO ACCESS, it's just that, lame non-sense excuses.

I don't think this business/app will last long.

I had considered purchasing AroundDeal when it first came onto AppSumo but held off as it seemed more focused on Asian countries and I primarily work with businesses in the US. Still, I would check in from time-to-time as I knew they were continuing to develop the product and expand their database and I'm glad I did.

Earlier this year I signed up and AD has become a valuable part of my research toolbox. Their Prospector search has some unique filtering capabilities, and I find that it returns people that other tools often don't (though, in fairness, the reverse is true as well which is why I leverage multiple platforms).

I should also note that I have not had a need to use their Engagement tool and I've just discovered the email verifier, which are two nice additions but for which I have other solutions already in place to handle. Still, AD offers a lot of value for businesses.

Bottom line, I have found AroundDeal to be a dependable tool with capabilities that currently exceed my needs. I'd encourage anyone considering it to give the free trial a go (maybe using a throw-away address so it doesn't interfere with your signing up) and see for yourself if it's right for you.

I was able to redeem my code, which I then refunded and repurchased with the Sumoday discount coupled with the additional 10% from Plus. My account was immediately deactivated without any explanation whatsoever.

Looks like their support is offline and they'll be "back online tomorrow".

Already a big red flag.

The service itself, from the limited testing I was able to do, was mediocre at best. I specifically tested several contacts in 4-5 lead gen tools and AroundDeal wasn't able to find contacts that I found in Apollo, Lusha or even SalesRocks.

Another big minus is that you can't even search by domain name. Most lead gen tools allow you to either add the domain name as a filter or upload a list of domains which you can enrich and get contact data. In AroundDeal you need to use an extension and visit each website. Not efficient and very inconvenient.

Another seriously limiting feature is that you are not able to export anything... Luckily, I use other tools for this, and I mostly needed this to check individual contacts if I am not able to find them elsewhere, specifically in APAC. But if you need a main tool for finding and exporting leads, then this is not for you.

With their highest tier plan they seem to give a one-year access to some "Ultimate plan", whatever that means, but after that you lose it and you will never be able to export any contacts.

I guess I'll be refunding my code. I usually don't bother with negative reviews but I also don't appreciate when someone wastes my time and energy.

I did, likely, a full day of research, into and with AroundDeal.
I want to point out a couple of things. I am in no way in love with AroundDeal. I think that this is one of the most poorly written, almost purposely cryptic deal pages I have ever seen.
However, Avery has been pretty responsive to the criticisms, and the offer has been improved.
There are some low taco ratings from early on, some referring to issues that have been fixed.
In fairness, I asked the AppSumo team to review and possibly remove these reviews, which are no longer relevant, but they declined.
The other point - Anyone who puts up $59 gets to vote. Not all these people are well-informed, some even ignorant, and some are just tightwads.
As it stands, I am going to have HubSpot integration, and the ability to export 500 leads at a time, up to 1000 a month, since Tier 4 grants the Ultimate upgrade, and to manually export up to 17000 contacts a month, I guess, via cut and paste. It took a lot of reading questions and reviews to piece this together...for around $200 a year.
...about 1% of what ZoomInfo wanted for a year. We were enough in shock that we never did ask for a formal quote, but we got the "end of quarter pricing flexibility" pitch (March 2024), which actually felt kinda used car saleman-ish.
Now, in my research, I found people listed in AroundDeal as working for Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas as Buyers, who had not been there for 14 years and had 4 subsequent jobs on their LinkedIn profile, like this person, https://www.linkedin.com/in/lisa-ayala-74885752/ - who has since disappeared from AroundDeal, mysteriously, which is an improvement over bad information.
I also cross referenced employee counts for a company called Ramaker, where HubSpot reported 250, Around deal 50-200, and Data Axle, which is kind of a gold standard for being phone verified at least once a year, had 63 at the two US locations. But the company is international, so we can't be sure, but AroundDeal seems to be closer.
There is a company, in Tennessee, a lapsed client of ours, for which AroundDeal had about a dozen people, and Data Axle had no record at all of this company's existence....and I found out that our former contact had had a name change, as well as personal email and phone numbers.
From a pure research perspective, I was able to do some quick analysis of our target market by job title with a wildcard *, Company Industry, and Skills (pretty clearly from LinkedIn), which allowed me to see that up to 2/3 of our targets by industry did not list any of the 3 principal CAD packages, which pretty drastically changes how we think about our market-specifically that there would seem to be an education-driven approach to win the market. That would not have been possible without AroundDeal.
My current thinking is that I am willing to bet on AroundDeal, especially as I see them better sometimes than the industry standards, and around 1% of the price, and improving. I find Avery extremely responsive to all issues.
If they only served as a LinkedIn scraper, it would be a good value, especially with HubSpot integration, but the research I was able to do makes this one a pure slam dunk.

It's a shame we cannot integrate external tools. It seems that you have to pay extra.

It does what it says on the tin - it finds contacts and their emails that I could not with LinkedIn sales navigator and others.

The but is the extra charges to export, which is not great.

I will wait and see how this goes but without export and integrations it is very limited.

Have been using a few lead generators, AroundDeal is pretty fast with it's prefetched leads compared to those that need to scrape around.

And for those who are always looking for an API, well, this one has it.

Many states have implemented stringent regulations on cold calling, further diminishing the viability of such approaches for small businesses.

I was Skeptical at first, I explored its offerings through its free tools, searching for potential in sectors beyond the reach of my previous service. The results were illuminating. It delivered an expansive array of contacts across various industries and organizational levels, far outstripping the capabilities of my former service.

The app is good and very easy to use. It would be helpfull to have full export feature for LTD, however, we don't require it. Yet to test out premium features and full cold reachout.
