Q: Appsumo deal loses it's value beyond 200 monthly users

Tier 3 matches your Lite plan $240/mo: 200 active monthly users. But exceeding 200 users requires upgrading to the Business plan at $400/mo + $0.80 per user.
At 200 users charging $10/mo, revenue is $2,000. After app stores take 30% ($600), net revenue is $1,400. Subtracting the Business plan's $648 leaves $752 in profit.
But here's the rub: moving to the Business plan means needing about 366...

A: Hi Snailian,

AppSumo customers receive a 30% discount on the Business plan for the first year, which reduces the cost of scaling once they grow beyond 200 monthly active users. It is also important to note that most creators qualify for Apple’s Small Business Program, where the fee is 15% rather than 30%, which materially improves the economic model as the audience grows. Q: Active user credits 1,200 - one time only

What is considered one active user? Is it per session? And what happens when we run out of credits?

A: Hi!

Thank you for your question, happy to clarify how active user credits work.

An active user is counted per unique user who opens your app and engages with content within a 30-day period. If a user signs up but does not engage, they are not counted. Whether a user logs in once or several times during the month, it only counts as one active user.

The Tier 2 AppSumo plan includes 1,200...

Q: Music catalog app with paid downloads

I’m interested in building a music catalog app where listeners can browse albums, hear a 30-second preview of each track, and then pay to download and keep the full song. I’d like those purchases to link to each user’s account so they can access their bought tracks across devices. Does Audiorista support that type of setup?

A: Hi Yizio,

Thank you for the question — here’s how this works in AudioRista:

You can absolutely build a music catalog where users browse albums, play 30-second previews, and unlock full tracks through paid access. Purchases are tied to each user’s account, so they can access their bought content across devices.

AudioRista supports streamed playback and in-app downloads, but not permanent...

Q: Metadata Sync?

I have to upload more than 400 files. Is there any way to import their metadata from streaming services? I really don't want to rename every single file and add all the data for each file individually. That's a super tedious task, and since the data is already available on streaming platforms, it should not be too hard to connect those.

A: Hi Benjamin,

Great question.

If your catalog already exists in a podcast host or similar service that provides an RSS feed, Audiorista can import directly from that feed. In that case, we automatically pull in:

Titles, Descriptions, Artwork, Media URLs etc.

and keep them in sync when you update the feed.

If your files are not available via RSS, we don’t currently import metadata directly...
