Yes, flights are coming in the next big release, and I am working on it constantly. The next release will introduce track segments, allowing users to combine flights with other segments such as drives, walks, or cycling paths.
Regarding ferries: This will still need to be done manually. Have you tried GPX Studio yet? GPX Studio is a free tool for editing or ‘painting’ tracks. It’s a fantastic addition to AvoMap. Once you've created routes with GPX Studio, you can export the file and import it into AvoMap to animate the routes.

Development is officially complete, and I'm in the final stages of scaling the rendering servers. This has been more challenging than expected, but I've found a solution that I'm currently testing. It should improve rendering speed by 3 to 4 times, enhance video quality, and potentially enable 4K support. I’m aiming for a release by the end of next week—fingers crossed.
Q: Map History
Hey Tobias, I noticed the area I want to capture doesn't appear to be updated in AvoMaps, when compared to Google Earth or Google Maps. Is there a way to make the area I'm viewing reflect more recent map data?
A: Hi! Unfortunately, I don't have control over the map data, as AvoMap relies on Mapbox as its provider. There's no way to request an update of the imagery. Sorry for any disappointment!
One thing though: Consider adjusting the zoom level of your video, as imagery often varies depending on the zoom. Hope this helps!
Is it possible to keyframe camera view and angles as the track is being displayed? And is there a way for the camera to adhere strictly to the path of the gps directions..? I imported from google and the view generated often simply flies away, not following the path, then returning..etc.. Is this controllable? TY
The camera works by transforming the original created or imported track into a simplified, smooth path, which ultimately becomes the camera track. To increase precision, you can go to Camera > Flight Settings and set the slider to 'Complex' for better accuracy. When adjusting this setting, you'll see a preview of the camera path overlayed on the map.

Could I use AvoMaps to map out areas needed for capture in say-- a job post? Would that require a need for a commercial license?

A: Yes, you can use videos made with AvoMap in your job posts, no additional license required. You can use AvoMap commercially but, at this point, it is not possible to white-label your videos or add your own logo.
