Can i ask have you completed Translations Yet, as its been a few years since launch and without this this product is useless to anyone in England or anyone who uses English GB language?
Yes. We expect this functionality. In the AI era, translations should be easy to implement.
Q: Scheduler
I watched ssme videos and I am really impressed about Baseline.
I have few questions about the platform as i think to buy Tier 1 today to manage social posts.
1-Therefore would be possible to have the beta scheduler enabled for me? I know it is in beta and has some issues but as I am aware i do not mind (I got other schedulers, so in the worst scenarion I will not complain).
2-I saw a video review that showed that the brand fonts weren't applied automatically to a chosen template back in November.. do you have plan to add this functionality
3-Is there any AI integration in plan? (not big issue as I can do copy and paste)
4-If i really like the platform would i be able to scale up to Tier 3 if you will come to Appsumo in the future?
5-Can i delete a brand and replace it with a new one if i change client? Thanks in advance.
A: No, not the kind where you can but your own badge on Baseline and resell the services we provide. We do have some plans for more of a co-branded experience though.
White-labeling doesn't mean reselling - agencies want to put their logo on their tools so their clients know they are using the agency's portal or softwa. It has nothing to do with reselling any services; it's just simply branding to personalize the experience and look more professional for their clients. So do any plans allow for white-labeling, ONLY white-labeling (nothing to do with reselling)?
Q: CNAME or integration
Hi there,
Is it now possible to use CNAME? I tried to access a link you provided in the past on how to integrate but that link is now broken.
Embeds let you put the brand guide on any website you want, you can put it inside your internal systems or on a public page on your website. You can even setup a dedicated domain, like with a cname, with a simple html and the embed code. Here is how to find the embed code in Baseline: https://help.baseline.is/articles/embed-a-brand-guide-on-your-own-website
Q: Linked Carousels?
Hi, does this have LinkedIn Carousels? If so, is there a view or something to show how to use the product? I see just old YouTube videos. Thanks!
I clicked on the "Create a Brand Guide" on your website to try out the platform before buying. The test brand guide I managed to create is editable by anyone even on Incognito without being logged in, I am assuming this is because of the test guideline and once I create an account and have a paid account via appsumo as well it can't be edited randomly?
A: Yes that's correct, when you create it without an account it's essentially public but there is a cookie which stores your connection to it. Once you sign up it gets associated with your account.
Would it be possible to mix and match? For example for tier 2 instead of 20 brands with 5gb each, 10 brands with 10gb each. Or tier 1 - 1 brand with 25gb storage. Not everyone is looking multiple brands. Thanks
A: Unfortunately that's not possible. If you need more storage per brand the only way is to buy a higher tier, or buy a subscription which gives more storage from us.
Just for clarification...the only two differences between T3 and T4 are: number of collaborateurs and the storage per brand (!)? So, these are not account-related global limits?
I'm considering upgrading to tier 3, but need to know if it is possible to migrate a brand to a new Baseline account. I work primarily as a consultant on a project basis and I'm looking to offer extended support that could include Baseline, but want to be clear up front what happens to the system I set up if they decide not to continue working with me.
A: We can manually move brands between accounts but there isn't a way for a user to do that. In most cases our customers who are managing clients remove their access to it in those scenarios. An alternative they do is have them sign up for an account they can help manage.
I own a boutique public relations agency. I have used a graphic designer for all our design work, clients and our agencies alike. Unfortunately, she died. We are still using her work as are some clients. But we don't know the exact color codes and other graphic artist "things." Does Baseline auto-detect those colors rather than us needing to register the codes? I'd like to buy an unlimited based on our experience of losing our artist, even just to have a back up. But, I want to make sure I get it right, especially when a client brings assets for us to include in press kits. Thank you.
A: Baseline does automatically detect the colors used in the logos you upload. You can sign up for a trial without a credit card if you want to give it a try.
A: The AppSumo plans are their own thing. They don't map directly to our subscription plans. All the plans however do get any future feature that the Professional plan includes.
Having a Brand Guide that is automatically produced can indeed save a lot of work. Nevertheless, it's crucial for agencies to be able to customise the content — and the advice — for each individual brand, as needed. How much are we able to customise the content of the guide? — for example:
1) Can we specify the 'Logo Safe Zone'? The 'safe zone' that the Baseline suggests seems to be the same for every logo — and not large enough for most of the brands we work with.
2) Can we add additional items to the 'Prohibited Uses' section? We need to advise some brands not to use drop shadows, outlines, etc.
3) Can we change the 'black' and 'white' used for colour variations? When adding a brand colour, Baseline automatically generates variations between the colour and 'white', and 'black'. But our brands have their own 'white' and 'black'..
A: The brand guide is pretty customizable and we are working on making it even more customizable.
To answer your specific questions:
1) Yes you can edit the Logo Safe Zone. You do that by clicking on the cogwheel next to the brand name in the brand dashboard and select "Logo Safe Zone"
2) No you can't add additional items to the prohibited uses, but it has been requested a few times lately and we plan to make it more customizable.
3) I assume you are referring to the shades and tints of each color? You can't currently but it's on the roadmap.
I am planning to do Logs work for businesses and I was wondring if this platform works for me so i tell you my use case.
I need to create logos or upload ready logos in PNG or SVG and need to remove background and transform format from PNG to SVG or SVG to PNG. Also try different colour version variation of the logo.
A: We have a very basic logo maker, it's mainly meant to remove the bottleneck for those with no logo yet.
We have a background remover in our design editor and as a stand-alone tool, but I'm not sure if it works well for logos. If you are converting raster to vector a lot then I'd recommend Vector Magic, it works very well for that. It can also remove the background.
Once you've uploaded a vector logo, you can download it easily in any format from the brand guide.
We don't have a way to edit the vector logos in the app though.
How GDPR-compliant is Baseline? Where is the data stored? I also have 2 other questions. Is there a way to have quick access to “Fonts, Colors”? I usually go into the guide and scroll down until I can copy the respective color. It would be ideal if there was a quick button for downloading fonts and colors in addition to the existing buttons.
I also wanted to ask if you have the option of adding user-defined fields. For example, I would also like to save the IMAP data for the customer's email inbox. It would also be great if I could save passwords for the customer at the same time. That would save a lot of time.
A: I think we are mostly GDPR compliant although we do store the data in the USA. We definitely don't give your data away to anyone except for the purpose of providing our services to our customers.
There is no quick access to those things but that's a good idea. I'll note it down :)
We do have plans to allow for some more customization of the brand guides and what goes into them. Including both custom and private sections, which you could then use for what you mentioned. However we will never recommend storing passwords in Baseline. That's opens up a whole new risk since Baseline is not built to store sensitive data like that.
Q: Roadmap/Feedback
Your Roadmap/Feedback is more like a Forum.
Have you thought about using a dedicated tool for this❓
I know that they are more effective in reporting and feedback.
There are Appsumo here, for example.
https://appsumo.com/products/featureshift/
https://appsumo.com/products/productlift/
But you can also use Canny.io

2) Brand fonts are automatically applied, I don't know what went wrong in the video you watched but it should work flawlessly.
3) There is AI background removal for images.
