A: Thank you so much, Steph.

1. We are just looking into setting Saturday and Sunday in the work week, which will be shown in the Gantt/Timeline view. Please send me an email to feedback@basicops.com and I’ll let you know when that is ready.

2.You can filter on a user in the Timeline view and see the workload for each user.

Q: Hi There.

If my company has a 4 domains under 1 operation, can i add these different domains as employees? Or it has to be added as 'external'?

Thanks,

A: Thank you for your questions!

If you have 4 separate, but want them in the same workspace, then I would add them in the external group. See https://basicops.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035891112-Adding-Vendor-users

The other option would be to have 4 separate workspaces and invite them as employees.

A: Generally, our mobile app is very responsive, but there may be situations slowing it down, particularly if it's loosing the internet connection often. If you report the problem from the mobile app itself, we will get additional information about the network connection, and maybe figure out whether we can remedy the issue.

To report a problem on the mobile app tap the question mark icon at the top of the screen, then select 'Give Feedback'.

Q: Hello I am a solo web designer and coder.

I see that BAsicOps is ideal for teams that want to collaborate.

1) Is it also suitable for solo developers?

2) Also, I often am held back by clients not providing the information I ask for, and questions I send them getting missed out, lost in the ether, and not responded to. Is it possible to provide a client with a login so they understand the project and what is needed?

3) Could I assign tasks to clients for them to complete and they get reminders? e.g. asking them for certain types of content, or taking them to provide key information needed to progress with the project.

4) could I export a series of tasks for a client to perform in another format, e.g. an email or Word document?

Sorry, I have never used project management software, so want to understand how it can help me as a solo developer.

Regards
Robert

A: Hey Robert,

1 and 2. :BasicOps is designed for collaboration and works best that way. So if you have clients that you want to collaborate with, e.g.: Assigning tasks, adding files, comment etc then BasicOps would work great for you.

3. Your clients will get reminders by email and can provide the information requested. If you use due dates, then they will also show up in the daily preview email and be reminded there.

4. You can export tasks to a spreadsheet if you need that.

Please let me know if you have any other questions? I’ll also be very happy to show you how BasicOps work. Just send me an email to feedback@basicops.com so we can set up a call.

We are also looking into time tracking on individual tasks directly in BasicOps.

A: Hey Timmy,

I’m not familiar with Nifty. What are you looking for in a project management solution?

Here is some info about BasicOps:
BasicOps isn’t just a regular Project Management tool, it is “the one place” to work together on projects, tasks and notes by communicating and messaging with the relevant people in real time.

BasicOps is super easy to use for anyone, not just project managers :-) Teams can keep conversations about work in “one place” and avoid endless discussions in email and Slack. For team meetings you can collaborate directly in project notes and turn action items into tasks.

Q: hi, I have another question: Is there a way to create task templates?

In my business I have repetitive tasks that have multiple sub-tasks.

It would be really cumbersome to have to add the sub-tasks each time.

Thanks!

Q: hi, I just discovered this deal and it looks very promising.

I currently use ClickUp, and I use 3 features that I wonder are available in BasicOps:

1. Recurring tasks
There are tasks like checking sales from the previous week every Monday, or bookkeeping every 1st of the month that I have created and delegated in ClickUp, is it possible to do this in BasicOps?

2. Pabbly / SyncSpider?
Is it possible to integrate with external apps using something other than Zapier? Ideally with a popular lifetime deal like SyncSpider, Pabbly.

3. Webhooks
If the ones above are not available, can we use web hooks to create or update tasks from external apps?

Thanks and congrats, keep up the great work

Q: Just purchased tier 3 deal.

I'm very new to this type of product and trying to wrap my mind around how to best work it into our flow going forward.

Please explain the way that 'users' exist and can operate within the 'plan' ... like I'm a child ;-) ... seriously

Does each user subscribe to their own 'plan' but then interact with our workspace? Does each user get the benefits of our 'plan' because they're added as one of our 'unlimited' users? Sorry for my ignorance, but i'm struggling to break from us all sitting around with legal pads as we brainstorm LOL

Thanks for your time ... please be kind with your answer ;-)

A: Thank you so much for buying BasicOps!

We designed BasicOps such that one workspace is for one company or organization. All the users you invite/add will be in your workspace and can collaborate together.

So, every user in your workspace gets the benefits of your plan :-)

A: Thank you for the question!

All users, including external and clients/vendors/agencies users, count as a user in BasicOps. If you already have 5 users on your internal team, then you should select Tier 2 (20 users total) or Tier 3 (unlimited users), depending on what you think you need in the future.

We designed BasicOps such that one workspace is for one company or organization. That way they are totally separate from other workspaces. You would need one license for each company/organization.

Q: Looks promising and simple UI as a pm tool should be.

I have a few questions:

1. What is the difference between users and external users? They both seem to have the same functionalities, except for the admin menu in the lower left corner.

2. I saw your reply to another question: external users cannot create projects; in my testing, they can duplicate projects, create a task, and delete projects. They have the same access as internal users.

3. Some tasks are meant for an internal team and should be able to hide from clients. Unfortunately, this is not currently possible.

4. Do you plan to create folders for files and also assign access to specific users?

5. In the list view, when a task is marked completed, it stays and clutters the lists. Ideally, they move to the bottom of the page/lists and out of the way.

6. Project menu, admin should be able to deactivate some of the menus they don’t want. For example, I’ve always thought the project dashboard/summary should be the first tab in a project menu.

Are any of the above on your roadmap?

Thank you.

A: Thank you for your feedback and questions!

1. External users can do the same as normal users, but are indicated as an external user. They also can not be an Administrator.
2. Yes, you are correct! You can check out what they can do here: https://basicops.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036240971-What-can-guest-users
3. All users that are on a Project team can see all tasks, also vendor users. Instead of adding a user to the project team, you could just add them as a task follower. That way they can only see the tasks they are a follower of or assigned to. I’ll add this to our suggestion list.
4. Right now all files roll up into a project, where you can see all the files organized by tasks. Will also add this to our suggestion list.
5. The best way to "unclutter" is to filter on the open tasks. The filter is remembered. You could also archive the tasks, if you don’t want to see them again. You can do this by multi-selecting and update in bulk. See: https://basicops.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402573033613-Using-multi-select
6. Great suggestion and I’ll add it to our suggestion list.

Q: Hi, Thankyou!

I have a few questions before I decide establishing my workforce here.

1. Are you planning to have folders and subfolders for the projects to organise them. I created a list of projects and now its seem very clumpsy.

2. As the project have be a lot of files dealing with, Can you make folders and sub-folders to organize that as well.

3. I have many clients and internal collaborators. Is there anyway to create a small profile for them not as big as a CRM but a little more details which will be more helpful in collaboration to fetch the some details like email, phonenumber and company department etc.. without jumping around to find them?
