I have been trying out various dictation tools. I've tried Wisprflow, VoiceDash, and others, but Blip AI just stands out.

I love how simple the UX is and how fast and smooth it works on my computer. It's been only one hour I've been addicted to it, honestly I cannot even imagine my life without it now.
"Hey Blip" mode is a cheery on top of cake as i don't need to copy-paste from GPT again and again.

I am replying to all of the messages with this tool and even writing this review too This is one of tool which is actually helpful for my day to day work saving me from frustration.

Works Everywhere Without Setup: I didn't have to configure anything per app. Press Fn, speak, and it works in whatever window is open.

Let me start by saying I didn't want to leave this negative review but I did reach out to their support via email three days ago, but they have not responded. I'm having trouble with the Blip AI app on android. I'm using a Galaxy S22 Ultra with Android 14. My account is new so I haven't used much. Only 0.5% so far.

Here is what is happening.

1. When attempting to dictate into OneNote the text that was pasted into the note looked like a raw verbatim transcript of my words. The AI didn't do any clean up of formatting, or remove mistakes, umms, ahhs, etc.
2. After dictating into the Blip AI app, I got an error that the audio couldn't be transcribed. I then went into settings to try there and it still gave errors when trying to transcribed the audio.
3. The app has already signed me out about 3 times, thus requiring me to log back in.
4. The overlay setting for system wide voice doesn't stick. It keeps reverting to disabled even though I've already set up the overlay permission settings correctly and they are staying selected.
5. I just tried to dictate a short paragraph into the app using the in-app microphone button. It captured my words and transcribed them into text in the app, but it is doing ZERO AI enhancements. It's just a straight raw word for word transcription of what I said.

I really wanted this app to just work. Unfortunately it's not living up to it's advertised features.

I'll give the support team a chance to correct this, as I really do wish the best for them. But if they cannot soon I will ultimately refund.

The desktop experience is the strength of this product.

If you primarily work on a Mac or Windows computer and type frequently, Blip can save time.

Pros:

It's Really Fast: The response time between speaking and seeing text appear is almost instant. No lag makes you wait.

Accuracy is Strong for Longer Dictation: When I spoke in full sentences or paragraphs, the transcription was very accurate. It understood the context and got most words right.

Works Everywhere Without Setup: I didn't have to configure anything per app. Press Fn, speak, and it works in whatever window is open.

Action Mode Is Genuinely Useful: Being able to describe what I want instead of dictating word-for-word saved mental energy. It's easier to say "draft a professional email declining this meeting" than to compose it in my head while dictating.

Cleans Up My Speech Automatically: I say "um" and "uh" constantly when thinking out loud. Blip removed them all without me noticing, and the final text looked clean.

Regular Updates: The team has consistently added features and improved device limits since launch. Tier 4 was added, and Android v2 rolled out with full system integration.

UPDATE: It's been fixed! I changed my taco rating as well. Thanks Blip team!

Good voice recognition and intelligent text typing, BUT it adds random words and sentences, especially during longer voice-to-text recordings.

I reached out to support, and they advised me to clear my entire custom dictionary. That's a highly inconvenient workaround because it completely defeats the purpose of having a dictionary feature. Even after testing it for another 24 hours with an empty dictionary, the bug persists, it's still inserting random phrases into the transcriptions.

It's still usable, but it takes away the main benefit of voice-to-text: convenience. Instead of speaking freely, I constantly have to double-check and edit the text for ghost sentences. I hope the team patches this bug soon. If not, I’ll likely be requesting a refund before the window closes.

I can not use or recommended this product as it does not function with vpn. Will be refunding.
