After using it on and off for almost 2 months now, I am tempted to refund this.

When it works, it works alright. But these are the things that bugs me
- I get logged out once in a while and it doesn't work when that happens
- It sometimes doesn't transcribe it correctly
- When transcribing, the text replaces text already in the chat box - not sure if it is intended or if they've fixed this
- I've also encountered where I wasn't able to copy the text transcribed by Blip or wasn't able to edit it.

The last 2 happened in the first week or two so it might have been fixed but it really affected my trust in it. Overall it worked half the time I needed it to and didn't the other half.

I’ve tried a number of different dictation apps, and I really want Blip, and the founders seem really nice. However, I’ve been having consistent issues that are leading me to get a refund. First and most frustratingly, on my Mac it constantly logs me out without telling me. I keep thinking I am dictating, and then it fails, and I have to log in again, which is an incredibly cumbersome process that takes me through 10 different screens to log in. This alone is a deal‑breaker. It also sometimes adds unspoken phrases like “thank you” at the end of a dictation. I’m giving up.

**Pros:**
- Very good speed, comparable to other dictation apps.
- The "Hey Blip" function is really cool and allows asking questions and receiving answers.
- Mobile app includes a keyboard with alphabets, which many other apps do not provide.
- The app allows viewing transcription history, especially nice on iOS.
- "Hey Blip" function works perfectly on iOS.

**Cons:**
- Answers to general questions from the "Hey Blip" function are often partially correct or wrong and need improvement.
- On MacBook, you must hold down the key while speaking, unlike alternatives where you press once to speak; this feels unprofessional.
- The iOS app has many bugs, such as not always working, the iOS shortcut malfunctioning, and sometimes reopening the app causing delays in transcription.
- General question answering on iOS is often incorrect or partially incorrect, requiring improvements.
- I do have many emails like my name email my buss email my sis email i save those in dictionary when i speak during dectiona it does not paste those it need to be work on that area also
- Overall, the app could benefit from improvements and introduction of new functions.

I use Blip basically every day. And there were some hiccups where I really felt that I'm missing this easy way to just speak my thoughts. The founder went with me on a call and helped me fix the issue. And in the end it was a backend-domain that my company network was blocking, which we had to whitelist.
So far I've had a good experience with Blip. Not all translations are always correct from the beginning, but this is to expected. It's still way faster to just speak than to type every single word.

I am 100% recommending Blip.ai because the team is doing a fantastic job and the product has incredible potential! The application features one of the absolute best user interfaces on the market: it’s clean, modern, and makes daily professional work a real pleasure.

Here is my honest breakdown after putting it to the test:

Top-Tier UI/UX: The visual polish and overall user experience are stunning. It feels like a premium, high-end product from the moment you launch it.

Great Core Accuracy: The transcription quality is highly reliable, capturing words and context beautifully across my daily tasks.

The Path to Perfection (Latency): There is still a slight delay between finishing your speech and seeing the text appear on screen. Optimizing the backend speed to make the transcription truly instant would elevate this app to a whole new level of performance.

Action Mode ("Hey Blip"): This feature is a brilliant concept! Right now, it can be a bit hit-or-miss with natural language commands, but once the consistency is fully patched, it’s going to be an absolute game-changer.

The foundation of Blip.ai is incredibly solid, and the product is already excellent. If the developers can squeeze out a bit more speed and fine-tune the Action Mode, Blip will easily become an unstoppable leader in the dictation space.
