Q: How have you improved since the last time?

Happy to see Botsheets back. I may give it a shot again. I edged out the last time you were here since my bot was firing sometimes and sometimes it was not. Since then to now, what improvements have been made? Is it more stable? Is there a video which shows what the extension does? For even more credits can i connect this to a tool like Straico with an API key? Thanks and best wishes!

A: Great question! I think the main thing we've done since we launched a year ago is diversify beyond chat. The chatbot product is quite stable but our key differentiator is our integration with Google Sheets and so we've gone deeper into that vs. trying to more broadly compete with the 1000 other chatbot products and have this be a race to the bottom on features and price. That would be the fast path to sunsetting Botsheets and obviously we don't want to see that. We want to build a business that will be around for years. So, we have the chat product, but we've invested into this Google Sheets Extension to do even more with that datasource. We just released it.

Our roadmap entails building it out so that it's multi-functional. For example, every chatbot product has a web scraper, but we plan to let people scrape websites direct to a Google Sheet, and then from there you could spin up a chatbot with that data, or generate a presentation from that data. It all about the datasource and what you can do with that data.

I'm just hearing about Straico. Sounds cool, but the only potential we see is that people might want to plug in different language models, usually for cost savings, but that doesn't necessarily translate to a better user experience. We use the latest GPT models and Botsheets has been optimized for those models. You can just drop in your own key and it's really super cheap even at scale, but we've optimized for these models, and there isn't much of a business case right now to optimize for other models.
