I'm asking here because your online chat sales person 'Abdul' isn't responding to my questions. can you please explain what the difference between learner and CRM contact? if they're a enrolled in a course, they're not counted as a CRM contact? how do they become a CRM contact in the first place? I thought a contact can only be added into the system when they buy a course? which then means they become a learner?
A: Learners who are not enrolled in a course are categorized as CRM contacts (leads). For example, when an account is created manually in the backend or via Zapier automation, the individual remains a CRM contact until they enroll in a product, at which point they will be marked as a learner. All plans support unlimited learners.
As a tier 4 purchaser, I have been through every support avenue, support articles, your chatbot, and am waiting for live onboarding.
Apparently the only way to enroll students manually is through group access.
And now AppSumo purchasers no longer have access to groups? This basic functionality has been restricted to "Enterprise" users?
Please fix this immediately. On your sales page, and in all of your documentation, this necessary setting to use your platform is proudly explained and promised.
In other words, WTF? How can your PRO multi-tier buyers actually use your platform?
A: You can allow self-enrollment into courses from your marketplace or manually enroll with or without payment directly from course options. I highly recommend starting with the guide below:

Q: Learners vs Contacts Hi - what’s the difference between a CRM contact and a learner?
How does this work? And once a learner is no longer in the class do they get kicked out of “learner” and become a “CRM contact” again?
Thanks for your clarification.
Yasin_BrainCert
Aug 28, 2024A: No, learners do not get kicked out and become a lead unless you unenroll them from a course, and learners have no active enrollments in place.
