Buggy, basic, confusing
It's unclear how this is better than just putting things on google drive or anywhere else. I wish I could understand the value prop once I'm in the app, it doesn't seem to do what you'd want: assemble a brand package, make it accessible to your team and the public. I can't seem to find how that works. I have no idea how fonts are supposed to work beyond manually setting every size and scale. Why no sensible defaults or templates?
What am I missing? Is there a public facing example I can look at to see what this is supposed to be like?

May 9, 2024Hello, and thank you for sharing your thoughts!
What you've mentioned about Google Drive is actually one of the primary reasons for BrandBay being created :) To put it simply, above Google Drive, BrandBay offers you three main benefits: instant access, intuitive organization, and high levels of expandability.
In other words, BrandBay was designed to help you manage your assets for many brands, including many things that Google Drive (or other basic cloud storage options) does not let you easily organize like colors, fonts, code snippets, important links, etc (especially for many brands at the same time).
BrandBay makes it simple to switch between frames of where you're working, and with who, with a simple system of custom permissions that don't require you to keep track of folder after folder of who is invited to where, and which client has permission to what, along with the other processes that come with trying to use a system like Google Drive for Brand Asset Management (BAM), which is something BrandBay was specifically designed for :)
Regarding your brand kit, we do have several tutorial videos that make understanding how to get setup as straightforward as we hope the process is in-app, and I would be glad to point you to our YouTube channel, where you can take a look at our "Collections and Groups" video which shows you how you can use BrandBay to set up your Brand Kit (or brand package), as well as our "Public vs Private" tutorial which can help you with the available options for sharing your assets outside of BrandBay.
Here is a link to the first video I mentioned for easier reference:

I can also mention that inside of your account, when initially setting up, you should see a Demo "Example Brand" that is created to help you get a greater feel for what the platform should look like once you begin working inside, and adding some of your own assets.
Also if you have not already, I would like to mention that our team would be glad to personally help you get set up inside of your account and offer any assistance you may need using BrandBay for your business! Our support team is very active and available via email, and live chat within our support hours, so please do not hesitate to reach out to us as we have been able to help many get their desired use out of the platform :)
Lastly, if you do have more of an opportunity to use BrandBay, or to speak to our team about your use case, we would gladly appreciate hearing from you if you have any additional thoughts!
Thank you!
