Ok, I purchased the Unlimited tier and finally decided to set it up and test how everything works.

I uploaded a PDF and created a template with the fields I need. The AI recognized the empty fields pretty well and captured almost all of them. Then I tried testing everything by sending a test document to myself, acting as both sender and client using that template.

I clicked on Use Template, but it opened in edit template mode, and I wasn’t able to fill the fields assigned to me. Instead, clicking on fields opened editing popups again. So, I couldn’t fill what I needed, including the date I wanted to show to the client. Then I tried clicking Send to Signers and got two options – Generate links and Send via email. I tried both. Generate Links gave me a sender link and a client link, but the document was unfinished on my end. Send via Email made me fill in both parties’ emails and sent the unfinished documents to both.

Then I received mine (a sender's copy) to fill, but all the date fields were hard-filled with today’s date instead of the event date I wanted. In fact, all the date fields, including the client’s signature date, were pre-filled with today’s date. Not sure why 🤦🏻‍♂️.

After filling my remaining fields, it showed “Waiting for next recipient to sign.” But the client email never arrived. I had to go to my Breeze dashboard, click Resend to the client, and finally received it at the client’s email. Since I was testing as the client, I knew it never arrived the first time. But if this were a real client, I would have no idea they didn’t receive it, and they wouldn’t know I sent the document to sign. Also, the client’s signature date was already pre-filled with today’s date, even though it was assigned to the client, not me.

Finally, I received the finished PDF and it looked ugly, with all the text misaligned horizontally in the filled fields, even though I carefully placed the field holders in the template. The signatures were tiny - I need a magnifying glass to see them.

I’m done with this tool. It just doesn’t work properly and makes no sense at all. I’m not sure how it can even be offered for purchase.

I’m requesting a refund.

I believe my first AppSumo purchase was Sendfox years ago (with my older AppSumo account).
Since then, I have purchased all of their original products (BreezeDoc, FormRobin and TidyCal).

And I must say, ALL of their products have a great UI and are constantly improved.
They don't overpromised. Instead, they just deliver great products that do exactly what they are supposed to do.

Oh ! And the support is always reactive and truly helping !
Over the past years, I emailed the AppSumo team a few times about questions or little bugs, and they ALWAYS resolved the issue in a matter of hours, often less.

Isn't what we want when investing in tools for our business ?

Talking about BreezeDoc specifically, I was looking for a simple tool to send contracts to one on one clients I work with occasionally (without the hassle of downloading and signing a pdf before resending it), but I didn't want to get into a subscription for this very occasional use.

BreezeDoc gives me just that. It's so simple to use, and does exactly what I need it to do at a more then affordable price.

In conclusion, I highly, highly recommend trying BreezeDoc (or any AppSumo originals really), if they have a tool that you've been looking for.

the fact that I need to pre-build the document on google, and that i needs spaces instead of just inserting the flieds, made me spend 15 minutes in breezydoc and then decide to pay for pandadoc.... is just bad...

I like the interface. I'd like the option to use a template and select 'save as a document' so that I can set up docs via template ahead of time, but that's minor. My big issue is that I tested this on Brave (my primary browser) and even with shields down, clicking on Confirm and Sign didn't do anything. I executed my test doc on Edge and then went back to Brave and clicked and got the confirmation, but I'm guessing there's something in Brave's configs that Breeze doesn't jive with. THis may be an easy fix, and if so, awesome. I don't know what percent of people are using Brave, so if it's a harder fix, it may just be something you need to know before purchase.

Unfortunately after such a long time I'm disappointed BreezeDoc has not progressed to something useful beyond the most simple docs. e.g. team branding not there yet, different fonts to doc uploaded, only one date field - today's date instead of a calendar selector, feedback page keeps telling me I have to log in yet I am already logged into the software, etc, etc.......
There are lots of improvements that can be made relatively quickly to make this a standout product. We live in hope.
