Q: Renewal, seats, transcript upload and API
Four questions:
1. Just to be very clear: The ❌ Renew annual Tiers 1–2 via partner means there is no renewal required in the lifetime deal? It truly is one payment for life?
2. A seat is like an employee or client account with their own login? With different access permissions to spaces?
3. Castmagic seems to heavily rely for all its features on transcription. I already have many Videos with transcription. Can I upload them (or attach a transcript) without the need for Castmagic to transcribe them again?
Is such a feature planned or even considered to be implemented?
4. Is there or will there be an API or at least webhooks for further automation?

Yes. For the lifetime deal, it’s a one-time payment for lifetime access. There is no renewal required. The “renew annual tiers via partner” note only applies to the annual plans, not lifetime.
2. Seats
A seat is an additional user with their own login. Seats can collaborate in shared spaces, and access is managed at the space level. This works well for teams or client collaboration.
3. Uploading your own transcripts
Today, Castmagic workflows are built around transcription generated inside the platform. Uploading external transcripts without re-transcribing is not currently supported. It’s something we’ve discussed internally, but there’s no ETA to share at the moment.
4. API / webhooks
We do not currently offer a public API or webhooks. For integrations we rely on Zapier which integrates for both import and export options to build customized workflows. We have a limited API for transcription thats available, and continuing to bolster workflow is always top of mind, but there’s no committed timeline yet for expansion of the API.
