Mixed Bag

The price is right. The transcripts are accurate. The speed is pretty good.

Now the downsides. No one ever answers their support emails. I don't know how many minutes I have left or how many I've used. Last month, I'm pretty sure I ran out. But instead of getting a message, transcripts just stopped working.

I'd love to be able to change the speaker name labels. I only have a choice of Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.

Good transcription... when available

I find that the transcription is quite accurate when I manage to get some transcriptions. I can also get a nice .srt file for my close captions.

However, there are two issues that makes this service a bit inconvenient:

1- It is often down. Luckily, I don't often have tight deadlines so I can wait a few days, but it is inconvenient and might cause issues for someone who works with short deadlines.

2- When I get the full text, I wish it would split that into some logical paragraphs. Since I don't need the [speaker] (I am the only one talking in the video) or the [timestamp], I end up with a big block of text that could be 10 pages long. It might not sound like much but it requires me to read every word in order to split the text into legible paragraphs for my users. I am sure, with AI, there is a way to do that so the document is more reader-friendly.

Lots of Technical Issues

I love ChatScribe...when it works! Unfortunately, it glitches and I'm unable to access my subscription several times a week, making it unusable. Support is virtually non-existent. I would give it 5 tacos if it worked consistently.

Too many unavailability problems

It is impossible to use the application at 100% because there are often server connection problems. I have sent this kind of feedback several times almost every month for at least 6 months without anything changing. It's a shame because there's potential.
