ContextMinds 2.0: A Promising Update for a Unique Visual Thinking Tool
As a long-time mindmap user with over 20 years of experience, I was initially drawn to ContextMinds' unique features and purchased the maximum 5 codes about 2 years ago. I believed it would be a valuable tool for my research work in marketing and other domain knowledge areas. However, I found myself not using it as much as I had anticipated in the past two years. The UI was not as intuitive or user-friendly as the sophisticated mindmap apps I was accustomed to, which hindered my thinking flow.
While I understand that ContextMinds has its own special features and I wouldn't expect it to behave exactly like a traditional mindmap app, I still struggled to adapt to the UI of the previous version. As a result, I only used it sporadically to generate ideas, but my maps never felt well-organized.
Now, with the release of version 2.0, things have changed significantly. After trying the new version, I feel much more comfortable with the interface and believe it will soon become a daily tool in my workflow.
I do have one final wish (though I'm sure ContextMinds will continue to improve): I hope the concept notes could include some basic editor functions, such as bold text and background colors. Since ContextMinds is a visual tool, why not make the notes a little more visually appealing as well?
Thank you for considering my suggestion.
