I tried the app a couple weeks ago and, as far as mind maps go, I found it not very interesting. I've used a load of mind mapping apps and this is very far behind most of them in terms of organizing existing ideas. But it shines when working on new ideas, or when adding new context or new perspective to any pre-existing idea. It's like you are hyperlinking your brain.

I understood that because yesterday I checked it again. I did not use it as a mind map but rather as a business plan enrichment tool. There are several ideas that needed to be connected together to see how they fit with each other and how they can turn into a sequence or flow that can in turn become a SaaS product. Contextminds allowed me to explore and sort those ideas quickly because I have already been doing deep research in the past. Using the text snippets provided I was able to input branches and sub-topic easily without having to check all my notes. So it's more than a mind mapping software : it's a research tool and a tool that helps organize things quickly while minimizing the risk of forgetting anything.

Someone compared it to Frase which I bought a while back; I think this implementation is much better and more versatile even though some features can be compared.

Small cons, the maps are not private by default which is weird. It's also not possible to collapse a topic that contains subtopics, but I contacted support via their chat box and they replied they would be adding it to the roadmap. The UI could benefit from some improvements but it does the job nevertheless.
