Outstanding AI-Powered Project Management Tool

Dart has quickly become one of the most valuable tools in my productivity stack. It combines powerful AI automation with a clean, intuitive interface that makes managing projects and tasks effortless. I love how easy it is to create task lists, timelines, and project structures simply by describing what I need—Dart handles the rest and keeps everything organized. Features like flexible views (kanban, timeline, docs), automatic status reports, and smart breakdown of tasks save a huge amount of time and eliminate manual busywork. It’s also an incredible value as a lifetime deal. A few small performance improvements could be made when handling very large projects, but overall Dart is an exceptional platform and highly recommended for freelancers, teams, and anyone looking to streamline their workflow.

Started using it today and I AM IN LOVE

Seriously, this tool is AMAZING. And I haven't even used all its functionality just yet.
I was looking for something to keep all my client work in check and this is perfect!

Not only is it very intuitive to set up and use, I'm loving the integrations and AI to help me generate & manage tasks. First thing I did is set up Zap to my Fireflies, automated client calls summaries to go into Docs and generate tasks from there in the relevant client space.
It also lets you send tasks from email, via chat GPT etc - I love this as clients tend to send to dos in various ways.

I'll just set up automated standups to be published each Monday - cannot wait to see the output.

Absolutely worth the investment, grab it NOW!

Absolute BALLER PM Software

I don’t love using most project management systems. I’ve HEAVILY tested all of the major platforms and have been using asana for years now. Once you’re on a system and your team learns how to use it, it’s very difficult to switch. So leaving asana has always been on the “someday” list.

Over the years, I’ve purchased several lifetime licenses to various project management systems here in appsumo but when I eventually got into building it out, I’d find out that it’s missing a very important feature for my workflows.

I’m happy to say that’s not a problem with dart. One of the main features we use that I don’t see many people talk about is subtask dependencies.

I’m not kidding when I say NONE of the appsumo PMs I’ve tested had this feature but it’s critical for our workflows.

When I got Dart, I immediately checked to see if it had task dependencies and subtask dependencies and it does (among many other incredible features that I talk more about below).

I have heavily heavily tested and researched project management systems includingall of the big ones.

I spent some time building out usemotion which allows you to build out work flows, but it is extremely set up intensive and they only accept yearly billing. So when you sign up, you have to pay like $800 for every team member you have. Needless to say I continued using asana.

I also spent a lot of time building out, click up, but the learning curve is so steep that it was too much of a thing to try to have people learn how to use this entirely new system.

I have tested and researched basically every large PM software out there…

Dart is the FIRST project management system that I’ve ever opened up without reading any documentation and immediately knew how to use almost every feature.

If you have ever used any of the big project managers out there, you know that it’s basically impossible to use them without reading the documentation and spending a significant amount of time watching YouTube videos and reading their documentation - and even after all that you usually end up hiring someone to set things up for you.

Dart on the other hand is super intuitive. It could not be easier to set things up. It has all of the features you want and need and it’s built with AI from the ground up.

How this differs from click up and asana is that both of these project management systems (and all of the other ones) are essentially trying to bolt AI onto their systems. So AI is not integrated into the software nearly as seamlessly or as effectively as it is with Dart. They’re also not nearly as flexible or as effective as dart.

What does that look like in the real world?

There’s an AI button you can click at any time to chat with an AI that can basically do anything you want inside of Dart. You can tell it to create a new project, a new template, make these tasks dependent on each other, send notifications, give it your schedule and task list to have it immediately create tasks and sub task tasks and dependencies for every item on there, etc. I mean, whatever you want it to do this thing does it seamlessly every single time.

Not only that the AI can actually DO tasks for you. Let me say that again, your project management system can actually EXECUTE TASKS FOR YOU! 🤯

Need a blog? Social posts? Need reminders when something is running behind? Want your system to automatically execute complicated multi step processes? Not a problem for dart (make sure to get at least tier 4, so you have Web hooks and API access).

This software is genuinely incredible and completely customizable. It has extremely useful dashboards with all of the metrics on your team so you can see who gets their work done, who is routinely behind, and so much more.

It also has customized views that you can create, which are essentially filtered dashboards that show whatever metrics or team data you want.

Normally, I’m not this enthusiastic about software - but as someone who has spent far too much time trying to find a flexible project management software, this one’s genuinely exceptional.

I think this is going to be the new market leader and if you don’t get this deal, you’ll be kicking yourself later. Fair warning.

Wow, thanks for the very kind words and review! With your extensive project management experience having used plenty of existing tools, that means a lot! We put a lot of care into integrating the AI in a way that's intuitive, while still delivering on the necessary features that many consider table stakes today such as subtasks and other dependencies.

Let us know if you have any feedback for...

A Solid Foundation with Room for Polish: Promising Project Management Tool

This tool currently feels intuitive and performs well for basic project management tasks. It has a great core functionality, which is why I'm happily giving it a 4-taco rating. However, there are a few areas, mostly relating to the User Experience (UX) flow and minor UI details, that need attention to make it truly exceptional and efficient, especially during the initial project setup phases.

1. Project Setup Flow Interruption: The current behavior where deleting an item instantly redirects the user back to the main home screen is highly disruptive. This flow is particularly problematic when first setting up a project, as it prevents continuous or batch modifications (like quickly deleting multiple placeholder or test tasks). A more efficient workflow would be to remain within the current project view after deletion.

2. Tag Sorting Limitation: Currently, there is no ability to reorder the sequence of added tags or labels. Being able to adjust and organize the display order of tags would significantly enhance organization and visual hierarchy within a project.

These are generally minor but noticeable UI/UX oversights that, when addressed, will elevate the application's overall professional polish and user experience. Focusing on these small details will make the application feel more refined and user-friendly.

I plan to revisit and update this review once these specific items are addressed in future releases. Keep up the great work!

Thank you for the review and the useful feedback Roland!

I think the first issue you are referring to is how deleting some attributes in settings (like an option for a select-property) causes the settings screen to close. That is something we're tracking and intend on fixing!

The default now is for tags to sort alphabetically, but we're looking into custom tag sorting as well!

Pleasantly Surprised.

With about 30 years of project management and task management software experience, I've tried all the reputable brands out there. So, to be honest, I didn't have high hopes for Dart, but it looked intriguing. After testing it out and putting it through its paces, I was surprised at how much I felt like coming back to it—doing what felt like playing around.

The way AI is integrated is quite useful. I'm putting it through my own tasks within the app. For example, I wanted to do a little out-of-the-box thinking to see whether I could repurpose a space into a contact manager section. After adding and tweaking a few properties, I was able to do exactly that using the board view and displaying the cover images with contact photos.

The nice thing with the agent feature is that I was able to set up an agent to give me insights on content shared in the activity section. My thinking was that I could have contacts in various categories—whether it be contact, prospect, disqualified, client, or even personal relationships. Every interaction could be in the activity section, and then the AI can surface things that were covered.

I feel like I'm just scratching the surface of what's possible in this tool. Although I definitely had to think hard about getting tier 4, given that I will be using it for myself at first, I felt that using the tool without APIs or webhooks would leave me limited at some point. So I took the dive, and I'm excited about what comes next.

I will admit that the mobile experience compared to desktop doesn't really compare, and it seems the last update was months ago. But I hope that will change in the near future.

I would also like to explore the n8n integration, but unfortunately it's not available to AppSumo customers. I would be willing to entertain a one-time add-on fee. Hopefully, that's something the team will consider.

Thank you for the review! That sounds like an incredibly useful agent workflow you were able to set up. We will go back to the team with all your feedback. We actually put out mobile updates all the time, although it's often via online updates instead of app store updates so you may not see it. We are continuing to focus on improving the mobile experience, so if you have any specific ideas there...
