I fully agree with the experiences and reviews shared by ewokee and chrisdippold. In 2022, I also purchased the Tier‑3 deal on AppSumo and later bought the EFT package offered by the founder. The promised benefits were clearly stated — and, of course, payment was collected accordingly. Unfortunately, over the past several months, I have lost access to the platform. Multiple emails sent to support went unanswered, while promotional newsletters continued to arrive regularly. In the meantime, the founder is now promoting a new app with very similar features and is suddenly very responsive to feedback there — while users of the old platform seem to be left behind, with no further improvements or updates. My impression is that the original app idea is being rebranded, updated and marketed again under a new name. I’m not familiar with the current offer at https://tally.so/r/wvK4Pg, but based on my previous experience, I have completely lost trust in this vendor. What I would have appreciated is transparent, proactive communication and a fair offer for existing customers before launching a new product. A functional and responsive support team could also have helped rebuild some of the lost trust.
I bought Tier 3 on AppSumo. The original Digital First AI listing promised the following, word for word:
- "Lifetime access to Digital First AI" - "All future Expert Plan updates" - "Automated graphic design" — listed as an included feature - "Previous AppSumo customers will be grandfathered into the new feature limits"
Then they rebuilt everything under a new name, "DFIRST", and here's what Tier 3 AppSumo buyers actually ended up with:
- 600 monthly credits - 10 whiteboards, 10 workspaces - Graphics and video editors not included — even though it was part of the original deal - Basic video models only - Social media scraping: 15 per whiteboard - File import: 10 per whiteboard
Now compare that to what people get who bought the lifetime deal directly from their website:
- 1,700 monthly credits — nearly 3x more - Unlimited whiteboards, workspaces, file imports, and social media scraping - Graphics and video editors included - All advanced LLM, graphic, and video models - Full deep research access
So the original AppSumo listing said "automated graphic design" is included and promised "all future Expert Plan updates." The new Tier 3 plan removes graphics editors entirely and gives you a fraction of what the website LTD offers. That's not grandfathering. That's a downgrade disguised as a migration.
What's also funny is the timing. For months, AppSumo buyers were basically locked out. No communication, no updates, nothing. You couldn't really use the tool. And now, after all that silence, the founder suddenly crawls out to reply to reviews — not to actually fix anything, but to do damage control and spin the narrative.
In that response, the founder claims "NFT access was never intended to provide unlimited credits." Nobody ever said it was. I never mentioned unlimited credits. The original AppSumo listing doesn't mention unlimited credits either. So who exactly is he arguing with? He made up a claim nobody made and then "clarified" it. Classic deflection.
He also says "plans can't be compared line-by-line" because it's a different platform now. And that's exactly the trick here. They didn't build something fundamentally different. DFIRST does the same thing Digital First AI did — AI marketing tactics, funnels, content generation. They rebranded it, moved it to a new domain, and now use "it's a new platform" as an excuse to reset all the deal terms. That's not innovation. That's an exit strategy from their AppSumo commitments.
The listing literally says "Previous AppSumo customers will be grandfathered into the new feature limits." Grandfathered means you keep what you had. It doesn't mean you get a worse deal than people who buy from their website today.
The original deal promised lifetime access with Expert Plan updates and automated graphic design. What we got is 600 credits a month, no graphics editors, and a plan that's a fraction of what they sell on their own site. The founder's reply dodges all of this. Go check the AppSumo listing — everything I'm saying is right there.

Hey — just to clarify: The new DFIRST isn’t a direct continuation of the previous version. It runs on a different technical stack, pricing model, and AI infrastructure, so plans can’t be compared line-by-line. It now includes multi-agent workflows, deeper research, multimodal generation (text, image, video), and more advanced models — which also changes how usage and credits are calculated.
It really seems like the login just stopped working, and suddenly everything is changed to dfirst.ai. I tried contacting support by email and through the chat on the website, but nobody answers.
What feels strange: I still get weekly emails from the founder, trying to sell the Black Friday offer — even though I can’t use the product anymore.
For me, this looks and feels like a scam. I would be careful and don't conside to buy there anything.
The founder and the company is still very active and posting at linked.in and co about the success of his company.

Hey Chris, we're offering you an equivalent plan based on our updated pricing, features and cost structure. Since the two platforms operate separately, please submit your access request here so we can get you set up: 👉 https://tally.so/r/wvK4Pg
... Should post on places like Capterra, not here, as they don't plan to return to AppSumo and obviously did not hold up their end of the deal. https://www.capterra.com/p/250515/Digital-First-AI/ <-- go here and let everyone else know about their (non) adherence to ethics and hopefully they'll start listening to the users that supported them.

Hey, I hear the frustration, and I want to address this directly and respectfully.
No users were “abandoned,” and we didn’t walk away from our commitments. What did change is the product itself. DFIRST today is not a simple continuation of the original Digital First AI version — it’s a different platform, rebuilt with a new architecture, new AI models, new workflows, and a very different business...
Like many others I got locked out of my LTD account and Digitalfirst moved on to another platform without responding to support requests. Another business not honoring their promises
