I needed a Merchant of Record outside the other knowns (gumroad, lemonsqueezy, etc) just to make easy the digital goods selling, now i´m so happy to find them!

I was excited to try Dodo, however, when trying to sign up after making the purchase, I found that it wouldn't allow me to sign up. My company has been doing digital marketing and website design for over a decade. But we're excluded. Wish it was clearer before I made the purchase that service-based businesses are not invited.

I’ve been looking for a Merchant of Record (MoR) that can handle global tax compliance without eating up 5%+ of my revenue like the big players (Paddle/Lemon Squeezy), and Dodo Payments is exactly what I needed.
I see some other reviews mentioning delays or verification issues, but my experience has been flawless.
- Onboarding: I was able to get approved and toggle to "Live Mode" almost immediately. - The Tech: The integration is modern and clean. It’s built for SaaS founders who want to focus on their product, not tax law. - The Value: Grabbing the Tier 3 deal was a no-brainer. The fact that I can lock in lower rates and get 0% billing fees is going to save me thousands as I scale.
To the Dodo team: Keep shipping and ignore the noise. You are solving a massive pain point for indie hackers and startups who are tired of being ignored by the "Enterprise-only" platforms. I’m rooting for you guys!
Note: I will keep this review updated as I continue to scale with them, but so far, this is a awesome.

I 100% just bought this to drop my review. I used dodo payment since April (yes before it got into AppSumo) they are the worse and rudest customer service I've EVER had to deal with. They shut down accounts for no reason, they 1st approve everything then when you get a decent amount of cash on your Dodo account, they'd shut you down claiming a random reason and keep your cash.
You can check out the reviews on Trust Pilot and Reddit, They've started to invest in fake reviews to hide all the 1 star but just scroll through and you'll see and you'll also notice that most 5 star reviews are done from a reviewer that doesn't have any other reviews except for Dodo and its 5 stars with less than 10 words.
I can't believe that it made it to App Sumo, the vetting need to be better.

We do not take these actions lightly, and funds are never held arbitrarily. Each case goes through a compliance review based on risk indicators and policy...
After purchasing this product and being really excited to use it, I was informed my business industry was not supported. There is a looooooong list of activities for which this platform cannot be used. SaaS or online content might be the few areas that are.
