A cloud-backed coding platform!
As someone coming from an MS-DOS, Turbo Pascal/Turbo C IDE background of some 35 years ago, I value having my source files backed up to a hopefully secure cloud. I found the editor preferences difficult to set and not intuitive. For instance, I want to disable dark mode, but can't figure out how or where! Also, are there any keyboard/keystroke shortcuts available while editing, I can't tell? I do like the keyword syntax highlighting and that multiple languages are supported. A printable PDF cheatsheet with editor/keystroke shortcuts and settings would be helpful. As several reviewers have stated, this version is a good start, but lacking in several basic user UI needs. Support is good, and they are quick to reply.

There's no product development, it doesn't seem like it. It stopped two years ago.
1) Default templates
These aren't very nice templates. They look very archaic.
I feel like they're old examples of websites that existed 10 years ago.
They lack the modern look of current websites.
Artificial intelligence can now generate nicer ones.
A few really nice templates would be useful so I can start with something nice.
2) The file management method and the lack of any form of external file upload (e.g., FTP).
3) I lack support for PHP and a SQLite file database.
4) AI
The AI BYOK assistant works, but it seems independent. It's just a simple chat.
When I ask it to change something in the file code, it says it doesn't have access.
This seems unnecessary if it doesn't correct the files in Editor.do.
5) No external backup system. If I'm working on this, I'd also like to automatically backup, for example, to an external FTP.
6) No response to questions on Appsumo. Occasionally, only.
.
Maybe one day I'll change my mind when I see it develop.

Nice product for small projects
This is a useful tool for building small web tools and static pages. I wouldn’t use it for a full website project, but it works well for smaller tasks.
What I really dislike is the lack of support. I've reached out multiple times but never received any reply.
Another issue is that you cannot drag and drop or rearrange files and folders in the navigation bar. You also can't move files into folders 🤦🏻♂️ Drag and drop should be a core function.
The AI assistant doesn’t work. I tried it with multiple GPT keys, and it seems broken. Even if it worked, it would be very limited since it’s just a simple input-output AI with no connection to the code.
Drag-and-drop website builder feels useless (in my opinion)
Overall, it’s nice, but the lack of support and missing core features make it frustrating to use.

Not what it appears
I was hoping this tool could rival codepen or vscode.dev but instead it is exactly like a modern geocities.
Editor.do is a basic tool that reminds me of putting notepad++ on the web. In addition to a basic notepad it provides urls to serve your site, but hosted projects can only be HTML, CSS, js, and media files. You're allowed to have other files but they cannot be served.
You are not able to create a project without a valid domain or using up one of your allotted subdomains. I am not allowed to use this tool for editing files unless I have it tied to one of my 5 *free* subdomains. This means no backups, archiving, or dummy projects.
The way files are maintained is really where this tool fails hard. You are not able to move files into different directories. You cannot drag and drop files to upload. You cannot sort your files at all. You cannot change file types. You are limited in what file types you can add (SQL, htaccess, typescript, manifest, etc are not allowed). There's no auto save, github sync, versioning, trash/recovery, undo/redo, or creating .bak(backup) files. It's also not possible to search across files or for file names.
It's not mentioned anywhere that AI requires BYOK unfortunately and only from OpenAI.
It has some nice looking templates and the admin dashboard caught my eye. It also allows for quick importing of libraries.
There's a bug where saving MD files crashes the site and logs you out.
I will say on a positive note the tool is visually appealing and makes for easy storage and editing sites. I'm using it to edit my php site on the go. Just means I am copying and pasting or moving files to where my php site is actually hosted. Also switching between projects is fast and smooth and open files are remembered.

Was great, now abandoned?
I loved the simplicity of the promise, and the site worked flawlessly when I initially purchased it, however it appears the developers have disappeared entirely - emails sent months ago have not been responded to. I would have given it one star, but seeing as I did find it useful when I first got it, and the fact that it's STILL actively being sold gives me some shred of hope that it's not abandonware
Since October I have been unable to verify any new domains, so I cannot host any new pages. Furthermore, once a project is live, it appears there is no way to navigate to anywhere in the settings where the A record and TXT record values that are requred for correct DNS configuration are located.. This information is provided when you create a new project, but once it's live/confirmed, it's no longer accessible.

Oct 10, 2025Hello,
The service has not been abandoned and is working very well with 99.99% uptime. All features are operational.
Regarding your difficulties adding a new domain/project, first of all, we apologize if we missed your email or if our response did not reach you.
However, you can:
1) Create a new project/domain and clone another project.
2) Export your domain/project as a ZIP file, delete it,...
