Q: Previous tier 1 vs current tier 1
Is it possible for your to upgrade old customers who are not looking for recurring credits to the current plans ? Maintaining so many tiers and plans may be not sustainable. In the old tier 1 plan you had promised several things like: AI Text to Video - 1,200 times/year
AI Text to Image- 600 times/year
Text to Speech Characters- 120,000 characters/year
AI Script- 1,200 times/year
Auto Subtitle Minutes- 360 minutes/year
Remove Background Credits- 600 credits/year
AI Translator Characters- 120,000 characters/year
AI Audio Noise Reducer- 360 minutes/year
AI Vocal Remover- 360 minutes/year . But now you are saying only 1200 credits are recurring. That is the reason old Tier 1 are feeling ripped off.

Jun 10, 2026A: I completely understand why you'd feel that way, and I appreciate you sharing your concerns. Let me explain, and I think you'll see that you haven't been ripped off at all.
First, all the AI features you mentioned are still available on your account. Nothing has been taken away.
Here's what happened: When you first purchased your old Tier 1 plan, your AI credits were strictly tied to individual standalone AI tools. That's why you saw separate limits for text‑to‑video, text‑to‑image, text‑to‑speech, and so on.
Since then, we've added many new AI tools (like PPT to video, logo animation, and more) and integrated all AI features directly into the FlexClip timeline editor: https://www.flexclip.com/editor/app
To allow you to use not only your original AI tools but also all the new ones we keep adding, we moved to a unified credit system a few years ago. As a legacy Tier 1 user, you now receive 1,200 credits per year that work across every AI tool in the editor – old and new. That means you actually get more flexibility than before, not less.
So yes, your original AI limits have been consolidated into a simpler, 1,200‑credit annual recurring pool that covers everything.
Now, regarding upgrades – we absolutely have options for you. If you'd like to move to a higher tier under the new deal structure, you can simply purchase codes here.
Since you're on old Tier 1:
Buying 1 code will upgrade you to new Tier 2
Buying 2 codes will upgrade you to new Tier 3
Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm here to make sure you feel taken care of.
You gatekeepered new features and capabilities. And locked out earlier adaptors from benefiting from these enhancements.
My question is simple. i dont want to move to higher tier. What about mapping my existing tier 1 to latest tier 1? It is simpler for you and you dont burn renewal credits. 3000 one time credits are fine for me. Ideally the founder should have grandfathered buyers. There was no email about removing the credits and adding the features. Super unhappy with this founder because of this.
My question is simple: I don’t want to move to a higher tier. Can my existing Tier 1 be mapped to the latest Tier 1? This would be easier for you and wouldn’t use up renewal credits. I’m okay with the 3,000 one-time credits.
Ideally, the founder should have grandfathered existing buyers. There was no email informing us about removing credits and adding features. I’m very unhappy with the founder
Your old Tier 1 = $69 Basic plan; new Tier 1 = $99 Plus plan — they differ in price, AI credits, and features.
Mapping old Tier 1 directly to new Tier 1 wouldn't be fair to those who paid for new Tier 1. That's why we offer 2 upgrade paths for legacy users: to a higher tier under the new deal, or under the old deal.

But the old tier1 was purchased two years ago. So early adopters have no value in your eyes ? Most appsumo apps respect early adopters or supporters and match the deal for new enhancements. You meant to say those who supported 2 years early are not worthy of respect? Many deals in the old tier one now match with free tier like 1 project and etc. Can you just refund old tier 1 for those who seek ?
David Lin, i assume that you do grasp the concept of gatekeepering? That you recognise and understand 'grandfathering' quite literally in this context means matching the earlier tiers (1, 2, 3, 4 etc) to the current new tiers (1, 2, 3, 4 etc) of the same footing by default? I believe you are feigning ignorance. I cannot and do not believe that you don't 'get' the issue or of what is being stated.
