Decent Text expander with a few bugs and Hyper Aggressive Marketing
Major Bugs
The software mainly works as described but it does have a few major bugs that cause it to work wonky. Often times when you add a link and later expand the text it double or triple types the link causing you to have to delete the extra link wasting time instead of saving time. The way around this is to paste the text you want to expand with link into an text notepad then copy the text from the notepad into the software. This washes the text and ensures that you don't have triple html links printed when you paste the text.
Hyper Aggressive Marketing
When you sign up for FLYMSG you get flooded with emails several of which will repeatedly ask for you to leave a 5 star review on AppSumo. I'm not sure if this is in violation of AppSumo policy I am currently checking with them. If a product is good people will naturally leave a 5 star review without you pressuring them. When you pressure people by repeatedly asking for a 5 star reviews you look desperate and shady.

First, what you have reported is not a bug. It's actually what we call rich text to simple text conversion. See item two on this page here: https://vengreso.com/whats-new
Unfortunately, you did not understand how to use the product correctly initially. You are right, you should take your links and remove or strip out the hyperlink in order for them not to show twice. Why? People want to create messages that can be used on both rich text platforms such as Gmail or Outlook online, and on simple text platforms like LinkedIn, Slack online, or WhatsApp online. So if someone has a word hyperlinked in rich text we deploy out the "hyperlinked" word, but on simple text we deploy it out this way "Word (StripOutTheURLAndPlaceIntoParentheses)". When you enter a full link in FlyMSG, it automatically creates a hyperlink. The platform believes it needs to strip it out and put the URL in simple text and takes the "linked" hyperlink and puts it into ( ). Therefore, making it deploy twice. That's not a bug, it's user error. To address it you can do what you are doing which is place it into notepad or simply highlight it remove the hyperlink by pressing the hyperlink button in the editor.
So you understand... we are the ONLY provider globally to have figured out how to make your rich text messages work for images, gifs, hyperlinked words and convert it into simple text - AUTOMATICALLY.
Regarding Hyper Aggressive Marketing:
What is not allowed by AppSumo is to offer incentives to ask for a review. We are not. We are truly asking customers to give us a 5-star review if they love the app. You're the first person to have taken that and given a 2-star review. Everyone else as you can see loves the app and is willing to do it. There are no strings attached to our ask, just a reminder that if you're willing to please do it.
That said, there are three messages only over the course of 9 days that you received re: a reminder to give us a 5-star review if you were willing.
The only other emails you receive which are
1. Welcome Message upon sign up (sent the moment you sign up)
2. 8 Onboarding messages over 30 days to teach you how to use the product
3. Up to 3 secondary messages if you're an AppSumo customer to ask for your support to give a 5-star review.
If your total score for our product is a 5-star we'll take that as I see you wrote it's a 5-star but you minus 2 points for asking you to provide a review without any incentives, and you should give the 1 star you took away because it's not a bug, it's user error.
