I don't usually leave a review, let alone a negative one.

However, I agree with the review by Elf for your apparently new product "Followr Studio".

I also purchased Followr Tier 4 ltd a few years ago.

What would be the right thing to do is to include "Followr Studio" for your current subscribers.

Then, increase your pricing for Followr, instead of creating a new "Followr Studio" on the same platform just to charge us more.

You may get away with it this time.

However, it leaves a bad taste in your customer's mouth.

Who knows what new features you will come up with next year and make that into a new deal?
I'm not buying your "Followr Studio" because of that.

Also, by buying a lifetime deal means that I don't want to see all of your ads plastered all over my dashboard. It's very annoying to say the least.

I've lost trust with your company.

So far it looks like if you max-out T10 of Followr and T3 of Followr-Studio LTDs you get about ~8500 Ai credits per-month. If you were to share those Ai credits amongst other customers you will burn through those immediately I would think, however you cant expect limitless expensive Ai video and images for free and expect for a great LTD to last very long. You can buy additional credits as-needed or subscribe to a larger plan if/when needed, which makes sense if you ever need to scale-up and you have more paying customers onboard in your system, all of which I think is very reasonable for an agency. For us, we're just hoarding all of this for ourselves and I think that with the maxed-out regular Followr plan and Followr-Studio LTDs we will be able to make a modest amount of high-quality videos and lots of other various posts with images and text every month. TBH we were mainly in it for the Ai image posts and we'll supplement the video from elsewhere since we have other video platforms with credits we can burn as well. I do see great things ahead for Followr and their webUI and feature-set is all top-notch and it's exciting to know that it's likely to keep getting better and better over time. I've read through all the AppSumo reviews of Followr with the less-than-5-tacos and some items are reasonable but many other items are just other Sumolings who have been clearly burned before by other LTD's pulling a bait-and-switch (myself included) so I think that many people on here are very apprehensive these days and have some trust-issues still....but I also feel like based on what Ive read and what I'm seeing from both of the Followr + Followr Studio LTDs is that its all reasonable from the developer, nothing seems scammy or untoward IMO. I also enjoy supporting US-based companies whenever I can; so its great to see that Marcos is responsive and out of Miami, FL, USA. I asked that Followr introduces some features that will also help us control-cost and offer our own upsells for those who want to do the agency/reseller-thing: #1) Offer admins a way to control which company's and users within our Followr accounts can utilize the Followr-Studio add-on, and also limit how many credits each company/user can individually utilize within our accounts. This gives us control over how many credits we buy each month, fair-use decisions we can make per use or how much they spend, and to ensure that we can maintain credits to use for ourselves still, and to ensure that we aren't over-selling credits and access or that some users are abusing or 'utilizing' too-many Ai Pro Credits for themselves and leaving none for others, even if we pay to top-up or upgrade our subscription(s) later within Followr. #2) I'd love to see a BYOK for video generation later, even if its video-only and audio-only generation with BYOK, and then possibly more advanced tooling that creates an entire video with video + audio all at once using BYOK for video LLM plaftforms, and then Followr-Studio would give us a big discounted rate on the Ai token consumption...this will help us try newer models on demand and stretch our Ai-token-budgets within Followr-Studio itself...I know this is a bigger ask, but if they can pull that off then it would put Followr very far ahead of other platforms and competitors and help keep everything in one unified system and pane of glass which would be very valuable to all of us making videos and hoping to automate creation and posting to our social media profiles. The only other thing I'd love to see is higher-tier limits with more Ai Pro Tokens per month, other than that I like what I see right now. Now that Followr-Studio has released, I highly recommend that all Followr end-users purchase and add Followr-Studio LTD into their account, since it offers way more capabilities to an already-great content design + posting system. If I have gripes or major issues later I'll come back and update my review. I'll try to write a Followr-Studio review after I've had more time to play with it for a while, especially since it literally just released. At first glance though, Followr-Studio and the available toolset and completely tight integration with this 'regular' Followr LTD is absolutely incredible and seamless, and I can easily see a thousand ways to get very creative high-quality Ai-generated content and speed-up my overall content-media posting strategy. Marcos promised all future upgrades and that no ai models would be locked behind pay walls etc. Then later did just that and tried to spin it. Eventually, gave up and pretended to be a victim and rolled out byok, but still pushes subscriptions and upsells. Has people actively scouting in discord to upsell. Then puts out these features on appsumo and despite having tier 10 says I wont have these features to buy it all over again. Just outrageous. Thats what you get if you buy this. Dude takes your money, lies, and then tries to upsell you on things supposed to be Included, and or make you buy all over again with no upgrade path. Making each generation of buyer a sucker.

I purchased tier 4 of Followr ($276), but the AI features are locked in my account, and it's asking me to sign up for a monthly subscription. Yet another major financial loss from buying off Appsumo. They take our money, build features with it, and then lock us out. I could have instead spent that money to purchase a couple of years' worth of a popular mainstream tool loaded with all the latest features that Followr can only dream of, and supported an actual legitimate trustworthy founder who doesn't use such tactics. My response to the founder's reply of adding ai studio aka "features":

I think you're missing the core issue.

You're focusing on whether Followr Studio is technically a "separate product," while completely ignoring the expectations created by the AppSumo deal itself.

The AppSumo listing states:

"All future Agency Plan updates."

"Previous AppSumo customers will be grandfathered into any new features and feature limits."

As a Tier 4 customer who invested $276 into Followr, I believe those statements reasonably create the expectation that early supporters will benefit from major future platform innovations.

Instead, I log in and see AI Avatars, Avatar Videos, AI Images, AI Videos, AI Viral Shorts, and other prominent AI capabilities displayed throughout the ecosystem, only to discover they require another purchase or subscription.

You keep repeating that these features belong to a "separate product," but from a customer perspective that distinction feels largely semantic. If every significant future capability can simply be placed under a new brand name and sold separately, then what practical value do promises such as "grandfathered into any new features" actually provide?

To be clear, my concern is not that features I previously had access to were removed. My concern is that early supporters helped fund the growth of the platform with the understanding that they would participate in its future development, yet some of the most significant new AI functionality is now being monetized separately.

You are free to disagree with that interpretation, but I believe it is a fair concern for AppSumo buyers evaluating the long-term value of a lifetime deal.

I am a Tier 10 early adopter from first launch,
Marcos and the team have evolved this platform into a really robust platform – I have been part of the evolvement. Marcos is responsive as well.
It is clear they are committed, and passionate...also business savvy - a capability I love seeing in a founder.
Marcos has clearly identified that the AI creative is lacking, however, without shutting the platform or LTD, he has communicated this with a long-term solution of Followr creative, an integrated bolt on - that considers early adopters. For that Marcos you get extra topping on your taco!
As someone that needs a tight white label, this is an area of constant development. The hiding menu options are a half solution.
I would love to see custom user profiles that we can create and apply when onboarding a user to a company set.
Would also love to have Followr Plus and Straico hidden, where if the user wants more advanced AI engines, the CTA button will email this interest to the agency billing email, and we can discuss, bill and activate our end, specifically apply to the user. We get billed directly from Followr for the annual amount. Nice and simple value add we can confidently communicate to our users.
Not sure how Followr Creative will work and may make the last point redundant.
