Q: Request for Automatic Stop Recording Feature
Hi Hedy Team,
I would like to request an option that allows for automatic stop recording after [x] minutes of inactivity. I have encountered an issue where I often forget to press the stop button, resulting in the loss of all my sessions in my last two recordings.

Apr 29, 2025A: Thanks for the suggestion! This is a common request, but not one we've been able to solve quite yet. We don't want Hedy to automatically stop the meeting on its own, due to risk of false positives and sessions getting cut off.
I'm surprised your sessions are lost. Could you reach out to us through the chat or email support@hedy.bot so we can help you troubleshoot what happened there?

One way to solve it could be an internal marker of the last activity that was recorded. Then when the session is ended only the audio is kept until that marker... So if I record one hour and forget for two hours I still only have a one hour recording...
Another option is to just skip inactivity all together in the recording. Then it doesn't matter how long it stays on
