jdeeQ: Stripe and Transaction fee + HeySummit Infrustructure
I am based in Australia, hoping you can clarify:
1. Assuming I have to connect my Australia based Stripe account, are your transaction fees over and above the transaction fee I pay Stripe?
2. Can you provide or point me to info on your infrustructure (eg. server locations, CDN's etc.)? I'd like to be clear or at least aware of any potential performance issues for my Australian based users, including understanding if products such as Zoom (or similar for online webinar) still needs to go via your infrustructure during the webinar and potential lags.

1. Yes, HeySummit's transaction fee is separate from Stripe's own payment-processing fee. You would connect your Australian Stripe account, Stripe would apply its normal fees for that account, and HeySummit would apply the transaction-fee percentage shown for your AppSumo code tier. HeySummit does not charge a transaction fee when no paid transaction takes place.
2. HeySummit's application is hosted on AWS, primarily in its North Virginia US region, while static and media assets are delivered through Amazon CloudFront. You can read our current infrastructure and security overview here: https://heysummit.com/legal/security
For a Zoom Webinar or Zoom Meeting, HeySummit handles the event pages, registration, access checks and the hand-off to the session. When an attendee clicks the watch button, they are sent to Zoom, so the live audio and video are delivered by Zoom rather than being routed through HeySummit's US servers. HeySummit page loads and access checks still use our infrastructure, while live-session performance depends mainly on Zoom and each attendee's internet connection. Other broadcast setups can work differently, particularly embedded livestreams, where the selected video provider delivers the stream inside the HeySummit page.
