Q: First of all let me start by saying that I love your product and I'm a big fan.

I've already purchased your "Multiple" plan and am just about to get a full use out of it. My question is that when we're sending emails to our contacts through your app on behalf of our email account... are they physically being sent from our email account or are they sent through your platform? In another words, once the emails are sent do I see them on the "Sent" folder of my own email account?

Thanks for your comment, so kind of you! :)

Your newsletters and campaigns are sent from our IPs on behalf of your sender account. You can not see them on your "Sent" folder because there's not a connection like an SMTP.

Q: Hi, I see a lot of people are more concerned with the "automation" features.

I'm not that concerned with that. I just need to create a few emails and a few lists and send emails to my list every so often.

My concern is the report your platform generates after the emails are sent out. First of all how extensive are the reports? Do we get a list of all undeliverable emails? How about the ones who unsubscribed?

And, once someone unsubscribed, what is going to happen to them? does their name disappear from the list? Do I get a notification so I remove them from all my other communication as well? what if they want to get back on? can we remove them from the unsubscribe list or is it permanent?

Also, I want to know once I get your app and set it up can I use a fresh email account or do I need to have an aged email with a good deliverability score? And if not how many emails per day can I send to keep it clean and don't end up on the recipients' spam folder?

You will receive a comprehensive report containing information on unsubscribers, hard and soft bounces, as well as details about recipients who clicked on the links in your campaign.

When someone unsubscribes, their contact status is automatically updated to "inactive," ensuring they will not receive any further emails. This process eliminates the need for manual removal from your lists. If they decide to re-subscribe, their status will be updated to "active."

Once you create a sender account through your domain on Inbox, you will need to configure a few SPF and DKIM settings. Afterward, you can send your emails using our Sending IPs. This streamlines the process, freeing you from concerns about aged emails.

Q: Hi, I sent this to your support email address 2 days ago and have had no response.

This is a determination on if I purchase this deal so trying to get some clarity:

I send an RSS email on a daily M-F basis and a Weekly basis, and I know that you have it on your roadmap.

I was curious if it was going to be limited to send on new blog post creation, or if it was going to be more programmable (send all since last send)

Also, if the RSS feed will send new posts only, or also will older posts which have been recently updated. This feature has been a huge problem for me on other networks and is something I really want to get a feel for before purchase.

Q: I purchased 1 code earlier.

So do i need to purchase 2 more codes now to max out the limit of the deal and remove the branding from the emails?

Also, do you have a Wordpress plugin which I can integrate with my Wordpress website?
Then I will be able to use the Form creation feature of Inbox itself instead of a 3rd party form solution

That's right, you can get another 2 codes and get remove branding.

We're working on integration options, for now we have open API and Zapier. There'll be more in the future, also WordPress plug-in too.

It is possible to perform all operations on the INBOX platform with API.

Including basic operations such as creating a new list, transferring contacts, scheduling deliveries to a contact list, group or segment and retrieving sending results can be done via API.

All methods can be accessed at https://reference.useinbox.com.

Also,we have our own "Forms" feature "INBOXForms" and you can create your own opt-in forms as you wish, you can design it however you want. You can add checkbox, and send activation email for double opt-in etc.

And at the end we share the HTML and iFrame codes of it for you to embed it to your website and also the URL to add your forms link to your social media account and to your signature on emails. When someone fill the form, he/she is automatically added to your contact list on INBOX.

Q: Are you going to add these 2 basic automations to the app sumo deal?

This is a basic feature of email marketing software - I was considering moving from aweber to inbox, but without the basic automations, this lifetime deal is crippled and unusable.

Already Inbox doesn't have the integrations that the big players have, so it's already inconvenient to switch to them since they dont work out the box with most of the other software businesses use.

If you are asking us to move ALL our list and ALL our emails and ALL campaigns and ALL automations and ALL segmentation to a whole new platform - that's already a huge undertaking and inconvenience.

And you are also asking us to take a chance on a newer, less known company.

To ALSO not offer the basic automations, while asking us to move all our list to a platform that doesnt have the other conveniences and usability of the other players??? It doesn't balance out.

I can understand how important automation for you but believe me, we would like to offer every opportunity to our users much cheper, or free too but unfortunately, there is a team working at the back to constantly improve automation, automation means workforce for us.

In addition, we offer you 30.000 subscribers here, as INBOX, we also work like a hosting company, so with the LTD we offer here, you will be constantly hosting all your information on our servers and at a very very cheap price, even this is extra for us. That's why we have to do some things for a fee, I understand that you want to use every feature unlimitedly and with a very cheap price, but unfortunately this is not always possible. Maybe when other features are released in the future, these features will be free, I don't know that, but this is our policy for now.

Q: I bought 3 codes previously, I noticed there's a minor difference between this deal and the old deal.

1. This deal has API integration whereas the old deal is LIMITED API Integration
2. This deal has Marketing automation (Plus Plan) the old deal doesn't have it.

Does this mean sumolings who bought the old deal will get the same feature like this one?

With multiple brand management, you can define different domains as your sender accounts. Up to 5 sender accounts are included in AppSumo plan, if you have 5 different websites, you can manage all of them in one account.

Q: Not sure if I'm missing something with the automations but what is the point if campaign open or link clicked is not included?

So I send an email to my list but then have no way of doing anything at all with automations (ie: a user opens email, add them to flow A but if a user clicks a link add them to flow B)

for a full stack to include basic open/click triggers it is an additional upgrade cost of $162 per month!!!???

Why would I choose inbox over encharge given the automation that is available in encharge? (I can use numerous triggers to direct subscribers through a series of flows and then migrate them to another platform using zapier/pabby/API.

First of all Pro plan is not onyl about upgrades for automation. With Pro plan you also get up to 10 brand management and high sending speed. Also you don't need to upgrade to 30.000 Subscribers Pro plan, if you need less contacts, you can also get 7.500 or 15.000 Subscribers Pro plan. It's all up to you.

Encharge is a really great tool, their reviews also show this too but actually Encharge and INBOX are very different products. Encharge is a marketing automation tool, they're mostly focused on marketing automation but INBOX is a complete email marketing tool, where you can design your own newsletters and campaigns with our own design tool INBOXBrush, categorize your contacts by using segments and tags and see the very-detailed reports of your sendings and more about email.

We're working really hard on our marketing automation and some updates,triggers and actions were released and new integrations are on the way.

I'll talk to my team about including other features.

Q: Very sloppy rollout.

I just bought 2 codes and I'm already regretting my purchase.

1. I go to redeem the codes, and it takes me to the login account that says I'm on a free plan.
2. Five of the links that I clicked on in the account took me to either 404 pages, or pages that erred.
3. I come back to the thread and notice that there have not been any answers to questions in the last few days, and before that just randomly.
4. In one of the few questions that was answered, you posted a link to the api docs and that 404'd also...

I'm assuming that these issues may be due to the appsumo effect but it sure doesn't look good...

What is your ETA of full functionality?

I'm sorry for all the issues you faced, have you ever tried to contact with us via support@useinbox.com , i cant see any tickets from you and as you can see on reviews, our technical support team helps the customers immediately.

We haven't had any problem with our resources pages lately, and some of our customers send us screenshot with this 404 problem with API page, there was a "dot" at the end of their links that hey copied and pasted, maybe this could be the problem while copying the link.

That's right some of our pages on the portal was broken but they were solved almost 2-3 weeks ago, thanks to our customers who wrote us from support email.

If you also send us a ticket from our support mail and send us the screenshots of your issues, we'll gladly help you.
