Patrick from Appsumo asked me to update my review. Apparently, I'm not allowed to discuss all my reasons for disliking it. Refund reasons, such as tier differences, violate the AppSumo Non-Freedom of Speech in Reviews Act of 2026. So I have revised my review; instead of discussing the tier differences, I will discuss the quality of Inkfluence if appsumo allows me to:

The quality of this tool is very, very low;
You won't generate the next best seller with this tool.
If people actually read what this tool generates, they will attack your reviews for it being AI.
I would only use this tool for dispensable quick lead magnets to get an email.
Whatever model is being used to allow unlimited writing explains why it's generic fluff.
The U.I. isn't visually appealing.
The plan offered on the website makes more sense if you want to use this tool; it gives you substantially more for the price.

this is the 1st review i have ever written a review for anything, but iam so happy with this wonderful piece of software i just had to. i have used numerous eBook creator software in the past, but i have to say this is easily the best and so easy to use. i have sold over 2000 eBooks since July and most of them were written with this software. so thank you and long may you continue

So far this has been the most disappointing ebook creator I have tried and I have not made it to the generate book phase yet. The software itself is disappointing. The create your book from idea has very little input the user can give like pages chapters etc.The book it created was random. Started in the middle of a story and felt like watching a movie trailer rather than a book. What it produced would be an excerpt to lure readers in but even that was terrible. The start from book type option gives a little more control but does not cache/save anything including the outline it generates. So if you don't generate a book immediately you will have to redo the process. Further more the ai got completely confused on a simple fiction attempt and mixed the opening scene which sets the stage, with the rest of the book that follows creating a completely random mixture of a story that did not make sense. Mind you this is after giving it a complete outline of start to finish where in it just had to fill in the details. When I decided to go back to try and redo and un confuse the AI the whole outline and instructions were gone. I have had way better results with other ebook generators when I give them such a detailed outline. I am going to retry in a bit to see if at least I can get to a point where I can get my book published to see the end result. This software as is today needs a lot of work. Not worth the 300 I paid for Tier 3 for sure. I will try to update this review once I have a published book to see how it turns out.

Some pluses though is the unlimited chapter generation and the iOS app which is neat

I am enjoying this product very much; a lot of capability and upgrades are looking good. However, I am trying to figure out if I am on the Tier 3 plan. Do I have to upgrade to Tier 4? I was informed I have to upgrade my account to use full illustrations. 2. Do I receive 30 chapters per month for audiobook creation or a one-time use of 30 chapters? Because my chapter subscription for audiobooks has not renewed, that I am aware of. I'm just looking for clarity.

My objective was to generate initial book drafts to refine through manual editing. However, the platform is heavily tailored to US-centric contexts, making the content culturally and structurally incompatible with European audiences. The baseline quality is so poorly suited that utilizing it would require a complete rewrite from scratch. Since rewriting everything entirely defeats the purpose of using an AI assistant, this tool offers zero value for localized publishing projects.
