Hi !
Since few days i try to login with connected goolge-account. I wrote emails to get support. Nothing happens, there is no answer from their support team. My money is wasted.

It can record, edit text, blur, zoom in, edit narration, and do many other things you need to do, and it is very efficient.However, when I try to download what I have created, I get an error and cannot download it.There is no staff present in the discord community either.They appear to only comment very rarely as if they are continuing.

The app looks promising, yet I haven't seen any progress since purchasing it. This isn't my first experience with Layerpath—I previously purchased and refunded it during their initial launch, and even after my second purchase, I can't see any substantial improvements. The app appears clunky compared to tools I use like Floik and Fable. Their custom domain feature is buggy and doesn't work properly—I've tried contacting support, but responses are slow. Additionally, unlike other white-label LTDs I own, their custom domains don't include free SSL certificates. I feel this platform is declining. :(

VERY buggy and core functions need improvement

Started well however after a few videos, the bugs really started to show

- Once you create a long video, over 4 minutes or so the export fails every time with no clear error message for the user. Support are still working on a fix...
- AI voiceover - This jumps around a lot on some exported videos
- Cloning videos - Does not bring across any of the AI voice over. Would be good to have this as user may want to make a cut down version of an existing video.
- Editing studio - Very jumpy. A smoother vertical scroll function would be good.
- The rename video function does not work until you are in edit mode. Unsure why this is an option before you are in edit mode.

Other areas

- Would be good to have a folder structure for videos and guides.
- When you cancel a recording via the chrome app, it would be good not to save it to the library

What should be a quick and straightforward creation and editing process, takes sometimes hours and then you find out that the system cannot even export the videos you've spent so much time to create.

We can't download the videos we shot with layerpath, our efforts and time were wasted. Although they said they would fix it every time, it never got fixed and the problem still persists.

I got this deal because of a video review from an influencer I trust ( and still do ) without testing it. I would refund but was to late. This product service does not work. Video export shows always an error, cant record screen only one tab , chat support is dead, no reply, what a waste of time and money.

Since the voice overs overlap, this makes no sense. The support is deader than Russian soldiers on the Ukrainian front.

I bought Tier 3 and I'm really trying to like it, but it's just taking up too much of my time! It would be better to provide the core functionality in a stable way and then expand it than to implement features that are half-finished.
I created several demos for various simple click animations. Despite the instruction to create everything in German, English is always used. I can't have this translated by AI, but have to translate it by hand. The translation is then not adopted from the tour to the guide or the video. If you want to use a tour and a guide or a tour and a voiceover, you always have to write everything two or three times.
When recording the tour, video sequences and still images are sometimes used. I can't understand when the system selects which format, and what the system suggests is often unhelpful. It's not clear to me how to switch from a still image to a short video sequence.
I was repeatedly unable to generate an AI translation in German for a video. The buttons were simply not active. Tough luck.
The animations in the videos are simply unbearable! They don't help at all to understand a shot because the image jumps back and forth in seconds and you can't see anything. So I have to delete these things by hand every time and create new ones. Unfortunately, this is only partially helpful because if you want to zoom in on an area and leave it in this zoom position for a few actions, it unfortunately doesn't work because the zoom speed is linked to the length of the effect. I couldn't find a setting to keep this keyframe. It would certainly make more sense if the length of the effect were linked to the length of visibility and the speed of the effect could be set using an option slider.
These are just a few of the things I noticed while working with the tool. It would certainly make sense if the developers took a look at the tools commonly used on the market and saw how they have solved these issues.
As I said, I have been working as a UX specialist for many years and I can only say that the usability is currently still very underdeveloped, in addition to the bugs that the tool has. So I'm considering returning it. It's a shame, I really tried to like it!

I'm on Tier and I just created my first tour. And I'm blown away! This makes creating my onboarding videos so much better!

I love the concept and the potential of LayerPath. However, the one feature I need most right now isn’t available yet.

Currently, I can’t create a step-by-step guide for my Discord server using the desktop app because LayerPath only allows screen recording within the browser. This limitation prevents me from showcasing real-world scenarios to my community members, as I need the ability to record directly on my computer.

So, here I am, debating whether to keep my fingers crossed for an update or request a refund for my Tier 3 license. As a creator myself, I love supporting innovative tools, but I also want to invest in solutions I can actively use—rather than just collecting software with unrealized potential.

Layerpath has truly impressed me! After trying and refunding it twice before, I decided to stick with it after upgrading to Tier 4, and it’s been a game-changer. I’ve started using it to create SOPs for both my team and clients, and it’s hands-down the best tool I’ve worked with in this space.

What really sets it apart is its versatility and simplicity. With one recording, I can generate SOPs in three formats—a video guide, an interactive walkthrough, and a step-by-step guide. This feature is incredibly powerful, saving me loads of time while delivering polished results tailored to different needs.

That being said, my only concerns are the currently empty roadmap and lack of updates. I also noticed some minor bugs here and there, but they haven’t been deal-breakers. These are things I hope the team addresses soon because this product has immense potential.

Overall, Layerpath delivers exceptional value and is a must-have for teams managing processes and client workflows. I’m confident this tool will only get better with time!

I do not typically write reviews, but I have to say, LayerPath is REALLY cool! I've tried other screen capture, Scribe type software and I have returned them all. I'm so happy that I purchased LayerPath and I look forward to working with them for a long time. Awesome tool!! 5 Taco's here :)

Very impressed with this application’s functionality and polish. For a tool that’s all about training, I required very little of it in order to get started. It’s extremely intuitive. I was able to quickly generate guided demos seconds after installing the Chrome extension. One star off for the occasional visual glitches (i.e., zooms with tool tips that don’t remain auto-aligned). I’m guessing the rough spots will be smoothed over in time. Feeling good about this one.

AI Video Focus and Highlighting: Incorporate an AI-driven video feature that automatically zooms in on and highlights mindmaps or flowcharts during product demo walkthroughs as I also use these features in my product demos. This would make it easier for users to draw attention to critical parts of their workflows without needing extensive editing.
2. Presenter Camera Feature: Add a camera feature similar to Loom that allows presenters to appear on-screen during demos, with a toggle option to enable or disable the camera based on their preference.
3. Workflow Setup Enhancements: Tools to simplify the creation of step-by-step guides or interactive walkthroughs, seamlessly integrating into product demonstrations.
4. Toggle option to record the entire screen or a specific browser.

These features would significantly enhance the platform’s usability and appeal, making it an even more indispensable tool for creating impactful and engaging product demos.

I was up and running in a few mins. The software is intuitive and easy to learn. I produced my first amazing demo in less than 20 mins. It's better than other similar products I have tried and returned as they were not up to snuff.

My current workflow is to turn on Stepy and Loom to create a walkthrough and video. This always leads to deleting the beginning where you see me turn on loom as the first step in Stepsy. And the end, you see me turning one off in the other.

Stepsy is pretty expensive but it works really well. The ability to edit a process in the live document is my favorite feature. If a tool changes, I can just change a few steps in that document and not have to resend out a new PDF to the world. It's instantly the newest version for everyone who has the link.

LayerPath has that feature and acts like it's not a big deal. It's AWESOME.

While you cannot record your voice during the recording and its only a chrome extension right now, those are both fine for me. Trying to record your voice and do a demo and control your clicks at the same time is hard and usually I end up with a good video OR a good step by step guide. Never both.

I rarely write reviews of products, but in this case I had no choice. LayerPath is now a major part of my workflow and I'm really excited to see what the future holds.

I almost missed this one. I have a similar product, which I love - I won't mention the name. However, this is a slightly different to my other tool. Although I have only used it for 24 hours, I like it a lot. It's very useful. I have given it 4 out 5, and I would have given it 5 out 5 because of the following reasons:
1. At the moment it is only Chrome based recording. It would take this product to the next level if they added a Mac app that would allow you to record your computer window or other stand-alone applications like Microsoft Office, Photoshop etc.
2. It would be great to have human friendly and search friendly URL or slug. The custom domain is great, but it creates an ugly slug at the moment. Hopefully its an easy fix to implement.
3. As there is a video option, it would be good to have a few more editing option with the video. The video side feels a bit rushed and not enough time spent making it as good as the Tour and Guide. I don't believe you can add your own voice to video at present, although you can use the AI voice. It would also be nice to have some ability to add texts and overlays to videos. Something to consider for the future. I understand its not a video editing app. However, if it is trying to be all-in-one solution for demo's and guides then you want to be able annotate the video before sending it to someone.
4. It would be nice to be able to share the video via a link and to be able to embed it in the same way as the "Tour."
I know I have written in depth about the things I feel it needs. But its constructive feedback. I only spend time writing in-depth feedback when I really like a product. So, please don't misunderstand me, I do think its a great product, Given the fact that this is an early stage product, it has some very useful features and its a tool that could be very useful for me. Btw, I have only owned it for about 24 hours, so I may update the review at some point. Difinitely worth it given what I have seen so far. Thanks.

The future is bright for Layerpath!

It's an exciting screen-recording app that shows great promise. While still in its early stages, I believe it has the potential to compete with more established players like Arcade Software.

After some initial testing and playing around with its functions, here are several areas for improvement that I would like to see (please note that my setup is Windows 11 using a 4K monitor):

**VIDEO EDITOR**

The video editor needs more basic editing functionalities, such as:
- Allow timeline resizing (expand/shrink) using mouse scrolling or hotkeys.
- Enable click-and-drag functionality for the timeline bar.
- Add transition effects for smoother, more professional cuts between slides.
- Slow down the default zoom in/out effect speed, and perhaps even allow users to choose their preferred default duration for each effect.
- Introduce a 'Pan' setting for moving video scenes up, down, left, or right for better control.
- Increase the size of the blur and highlight target area (in the side panel) for precise adjustments; currently, it's too small for accurate placement.
- Add fade-in/fade-out modifiers for blur and highlight effects to create smoother transitions.

**VIDEO PLAYER**

The video player requires more essential playback features, including:
- An option to play video from the beginning; maybe something like a 'Previous' button.
- Better navigation like buttons (and/or hotkeys) to rewind and fast-forward by a specified number of seconds; it's just Play/Pause right now.

**PANEL UI/UX ENHANCEMENTS**

- Allow adjustable panel width for side panels and height for the video editor panel.
- Improve visibility of 'Enhancement with AI' notifications during generation and at completion, as it's sometimes difficult to tell when the process has finished with a tiny pop-up on the lower-right corner and a "Generating..." indicator at the top.
- Display usage statistics (AI Content, AI Voiceover, and Video Exports) at the top of the screen during project work for easier credit management and monitoring.

**AI VOICEOVER**

- Allow the use or upload of custom voiceovers and audio (background music, sound effects, etc.).
- Consider providing a custom voice cloning feature.
- Add more customizability for voices, such as speed and pitch adjustments.
- Introduce a greater variety of voices, including different accents, emotions and cultural tones and inflections.

**DEFAULT SETTING CUSTOMIZABILITY**

Add a "Set Default" option under Settings for menu selection items like "Language" and "Recording Category" when setting up the 'Enhance with AI' feature. Currently, I have to adjust these settings each time, which is repetitive and frustrating.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase and believe Layerpath is on a promising trajectory. However, it still has some way to go before it can truly mature and stand out among its competitors.

Addressing these points and adding features should undoubtedly help Layerpath unlock its full potential and compete effectively in the market. I'm excited to see how it evolves!

I have read previous answers that mentioned separating workspaces and considering the use of a custom domain. I have already purchased T4. In summary, everyone works in the same workspace and sees all the data. What I am looking for is to have separate workspaces and be able to invite teams into my own workspace or create workspaces for projects. I think you could sell LayerPath better than this. Right now, I am considering asking for a refund because the single workspace is not suitable for my work
