Q: How is web login performed?
I am considering the Web version, I would like to know how is login performed. Am I forced to use Google or I can login with User + Password?
Also I would like to avoid 2FA and OTP. I am confident that Letterly could greatly enhance my email management; however, frequent logins would undermine any time savings it offers.
I prefer a traditional email and password login system that I can easily save in my browser for convenience.
My question refers solely to the WEB VERSION and I am asking it after reading a review that probably refers to an App version.

Logging into the website is done via a Magic Link sent to the email provided during registration. You can also log in using your Google or Apple accounts. We do not offer the option to use a login and password combination.
Sorry for the inconvenience — we understand it can be frustrating for some users. We’ll definitely think about how to improve this in the future!
[There used to be info here about saving the link, but it's no longer relevant — that was a mistake]
Hi Ilfat, Perfect. If I can bookmark the link that would be enough (many OTP schemes send a new code on each session). I will surely try it!
Hi! Sorry, I gave you the wrong info — it doesn’t work that way. The magic link is always sent again each time. That’s why we recommend using Google or Apple login to make the process faster. Apologies for the mistake — I mixed it up with the login for account.letterly.app, where the link can be saved.
This doesn't work for me to stay logged in continously. I use 2 codes, one for mobile, one for web. I'm using different webbrowsers on the computer, and it seems that even with the magic link, I'm forced to use the standard webbrowser, alternatively, I have to copy the magic link manually into the browser I need it right now.
Any help appreciated.
Hi! Probably the best thing to do for now is to switch to logging in with Google or Apple — it makes the process much faster. You can change your email at account.letterly.app. We’ll definitely consider alternative login options in the future, but we can’t promise anything just yet.
Hey no! I simply point my browser at https://web.letterly.app/notes and I'm **not** asked to login. It accurately identifies me, displaying my correct profile. All works fine.
This is probably because there's a cookie stored in my browser. Maybe the cookie will expire in two years, and that's acceptable.
If I have to wait for an email each time I use it, I will promptly discontinue its use.
Hi. Google and Apple are not an Option; we can't use these in our Office. Looking foreward for your alternative Login Options. Thx
