Q: How to use offline mode? Transcription only visible with connection? Listen to records in-app? Which folder used?

Hello Anton,

it's fun to use your app!
The 5 questions:

1) Transcription only visible with connection?

2) How to use offline mode?

3) Does processing of transcription, not repurposing, work without connection?

4) How to listen to records in-app, or on the phone without sending or sharing?

5) Where on the phone are the files saved, which folder is used?

Best regards

A: Hi Marco!

Thanks so much — really glad you're enjoying the app! :)
Here are the answers to your questions:

1) Is transcription only visible with a connection?
Yes, an internet connection is required to view the transcription.

2) How to use offline mode?
You can record as usual — the audio is saved locally on your phone. Once you're back online, it will automatically upload and get transcribed.

3) Does rewriting/transcription work without connection?
No, both transcription and rewriting require an internet connection.

4) How to listen to recordings in-app or on the phone without sharing?
At the moment, there’s no in-app playback option — we’re working on it!

5) Where on the phone are the files saved? Which folder is used?
If you mean the audio files — they’re saved wherever you choose when exporting. If you meant something else, feel free to email us at hi@letterly.app and we’ll be happy to clarify!

Thank you very much Ilfat,

in 5) I meant the local saving you are referring to in 2).

Until now I was using the phones audio recorder, and I am able to connect the phone to the pc and transfer the files to the hard disk. Since the file is stored locally on the phone I would like to know if it is possible to do the same with files recorded by letterly. In a quick search I couldn't find them..
