Q: iOS 27 & Dictation
How will the latest AI update for Siri on iOS 27 effect apps like these?
If this will become redundant, does it make sense purchasing at this time?

Edited Jun 10, 2026A: Great question! Short answer: they solve different problems.
What Apple actually announced
A smarter Siri in iOS 27, and as part of it — better live dictation: Siri will add punctuation, capitalization, and formatting on the fly as you speak.
Why it doesn't replace Letterly
1) It's just dictation, we do dictation and more.
Siri turns speech into text live.
Letterly handles not only dictation, but also works as a smart note-taker. It works with uploaded audio and long recordings (meetings, voice notes, interviews), then rewrites and reformats the result into emails, notes, posts, summaries, and translations. It's the workspace for you too, not just dictation tool.
The announcement says nothing about any of that.
2) Older iPhones are left out entirely. Only newer devices support new Siri — iPhone 15 Pro and later, M1+ iPads and Macs.
3) Apple-only. Siri lives inside Apple's ecosystem. Letterly also works on Android, Windows, and the web.
4) Not everywhere, not yet. English-only at first, in beta later this year.
Not available at all in the EU at launch.
So we hope you — and the rest of our customers — will keep finding Letterly genuinely useful. Thanks for your interest in us! 💜
