Q: OK, I tried the app and I am SOLD.

It's a game changer for someone who dictates a lot. And with the original 2h/month limit removed, this is a no brainer.

Three questions:

1. You said that you are planning on releasing an Apple Watch version at one point. When you do, will that require a separate license or it will work with the license of the iPhone the watch is connected to?

2. Would you consider adding an "append" function? I sometimes find myself stopping a recording and then having another thought I should add, and having to create a new recording that will become a separate note creates clutter. It would be amazing if I could add more dictation to an existing note. (I know there is a pause button, but I often need to add more to a note I already finished. Sometimes I wish I could go back to it later with other voice notes recorded in between.)

3. I tried the Share button to export a note to the iOS Notes app via the Share Sheet. It didn't export anything - I ended up with an empty note. Is this a bug or I am missing something about how this works?

Thank you!

A: Thank you for the kind words! :)

1. Right now, I can't say with a hundred percent certainty how it will be decided, unfortunately, because we haven't fully worked out that part yet. Sorry!

2. Wow, that's a really cool feature that we've heard about before as well. Thank you for mentioning it now, it motivates us to prioritize this task. We have this task on our list, but it's not a priority at the moment. In general, we're considering implementing it, but there are no timelines yet.

3. I just tried it and the note saved in Apple Notes for me. Let's go through it: you tap Share, select Apple Notes, tap Save. You'll have a separate note in Apple Notes with the original text from Letterly. Did it work? If not, please email us at hi@letterly.app with your device details, and we'll check if there's a bug.

I apologize if I can't please with all the answers. Unfortunately, some things haven't been resolved yet :)

Thank you! Re. point 3: I tested it a different way. "New Quick Note" doesn't work, selecting the Notes app and adding it that way works.

Yeah, you're right, we need to select an app where you want to send. Regarding "New Quick Note," you've correctly noticed that it's not working yet, but we'll do that in the future. Thanks a lot for pointing that out! Hopefully, it's a minor issue

Hm, I definitely want this for the Watch when you release it, but rules here say I have to redeem my codes within 60 days. I am considering 2 codes just to make sure I will have the Watch version when it comes out. What do you recommend?

Look, right now we can't give you an exact timeframe for when we can implement Apple Watch. But your question about 60 days is easily solved... [read the next comment]

You need to redeem the codes purchased in AppSumo, get the license code in your personal account (the email will lead you to account.letterly.app). Once you've redeemed, the license code will be active indefinitely :)

Point 2 is crucial... good idea

And 2h limited lifted. Sold. 2h was not even 5 minutes a day . Making it very limited in usability. Awesome 👌
