Q: Recording storage, Codes Required, Sharing Codes
1. Voice Storage
If I record audio via iPhone, is it first saved locally or uploaded directly to EU servers? I’m trying to avoid duplicate files and excessive iPhone storage use.
2. Sharing Codes
If I use only 3 of 4 codes, can I give 1 to a friend to use independently, without linking to my account or needing access management?
3. Buying More Codes
If I buy 4 codes now and another 4 later, does that cover 12 devices total or unlock the 8-code tier with 15 devices?

1. The data is saved both on the server and locally. In the future, we’re planning to add a feature that lets you delete it locally and keep it only on the server.
2. Yes, you can share the code with a friend — but only if you haven’t activated it yet at account.letterly.app. If it’s already activated, you’d need to either give access through your account or refund this code and buy a new code for your friend.
3. Yes, of course — you don’t have to buy everything at once. You can stack codes separately whenever you like.
In response to (A.1), seeking further clarity. You have functionality for offline recording. So does the app record and store locally and only after recording is finished, it seeks an internet connection and then uploads to your server?
4. I read another answer that inactive accounts (12 mth) will have recordings deleted from EU server. If account is active, recordings are stored indefinitely?
1) yes, exactly :)
4) yes!
also - once a deal leaves Appsumo - then you can usually still downgrade within your 60 days, but you can't upgrade during your 60 days - unless the deal is still actively being sold on app sumo - that it how i understand things - could be wrong
Further question (A.1): you stated “ we’re planning to add a feature that lets you delete it locally and keep it only on the server.”. When do you anticipate this feature being released?
Hi! within several months :)
(A.1): you stated "The data is saved both on the server and locally."
In post "https://appsumo.com/products/letterly/questions/how-do-you-log-out-1383309/", advised to delete locally stored data via terminal cause no logout button. However for web version, cannot find local folder "ai.draft.DraftAI/Data" to delete recordings. How can I delete local files? Security issue if using shared/public PC.
Sure! On the website, you can delete cookies and all data from web.letterly.app through your browser. This will remove everything, including favorites, login info, and audio files.
